Fragrance information:

2015: the world took its first breath of Cityscape for Him Mary Kay. This is a masculine fragrance rooted in the spicy, fern, wood, and aromatic families. The duo Linda Song and Olivier Gillotin brought this fragrance to life. By character, it falls into the wood, floral, and citrus groups. The palette of this fragrance is exceptionally rich: traces of balsamic can also be found — a rare combination that makes this perfume truly one of a kind. From the Cityscape collection; released as eau de cologne.

It carries a moderate sillage, leaving a trail that lingers pleasantly in the air. It settles in and stays — the longevity is genuinely high. Produced in the United States, and you can feel it in every note. A rich, layered composition that reveals itself differently depending on your mood and the time of day.

Description of the composition

The composition of Cityscape for Him evolves as an expressive line of development, where accents shift without rush and without gaps. The signature of Mary Kay comes through in details that define the fragrance identity. Every decision feels deliberate, and the structure feels complete all the way through.

At the note-group layer the profile is anchored in Balsamic, Citrus, Floral and Wood. The palette also extends to Spicy, Green, Whiteflower and Drinks.

In the first seconds you catch sparkling citrus opening notes: Bergamot, Black Pepper and Lavender.

When the opening settles you sense Geranium, Orange blossom and Whisky holding a velvety rose-iris direction.

The olfactory framework is shaped by these accords: Balsamic, Aromatic, Citrus and Floral forming a compact and readable structure. Secondary accord layers such as Wood, Amber, Spicy and Alcoholic expand the olfactory volume in the background. The profile is masculine, which sharpens how the fragrance is perceived. For persistence High points to a sustained drydown presence.

Overall Cityscape for Him sounds complete from start to finish — the first stage creates momentum, the heart develops the core line, and the final phase leaves a stable imprint.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

The men's version turned out very sharp, with a spicy and cold character. Almost as if it were made of metal. I couldn't distinguish the notes, but that doesn't stop it from being interesting 💥

At first, I thought it was just alcohol that wouldn't evaporate, but it's actually alcoholic notes. The fragrance, in principle, isn't bad, quite pleasant and not too complex, but it smells good. For me, it's a bit sharp, with lavender nuances and light green citruses. I think it's more suitable for young people, it has a certain energy and freshness ✨
