Description of the composition

The note pyramid of Red Tea & Fig is shaped as a living composition, where layers reveal themselves without rush and without gaps. The creative approach of Mary Kay is evident from the opening to the final trail. Nothing here feels random, and the structure feels complete all the way through. Fragrant mist sets a balanced rhythm of unfolding.

The olfactory framework is driven by these accords: Citrus, Fruit and Wood forming a compact and readable structure. The profile is feminine, which clarifies the composition character.

Without strict stage separation the notes arrive together with a pulsating fruity mood: Fig, Lemon, Plum and Rooibos. Here 4 notes work as one integrated frame, creating thrilling fruity juiciness that keeps the opening compact and balanced.

The deeper layers are read as a continuous motion from lift to depth, which keeps the fragrance coherent.

At the note-group layer the structure relies on Fruit, Citrus, Drinks and Wood. At family level the composition sits in Fern and Fruit.

Taken together Red Tea & Fig sounds complete from start to finish — the opening sets direction, the central phase adds depth, and the base secures the trail. These are the scent structures best understood through real development.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Very conspicuous

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

The scent I experienced turned out to be quite strange. The fig leaves seem a bit tart, and the ripe pulp adds freshness. But then there's this plum accord... it's like it unexpectedly interferes. Overall, the smell is pleasant, but there's something mysterious that makes me wonder if I actually like it
