The note pyramid of Santal Insolent is shaped as a living composition, where layers reveal themselves without rush and without gaps. The creative approach of Molinard is evident from the opening to the final trail. Nothing here feels random, and the composition keeps a clear direction. Eau de parfum sets a balanced rhythm of unfolding.

At the opening of the pyramid you catch piquant warm top notes: Black Pepper, Cardamom and Elemi. Exactly these 3 notes shape voluminous spicy depth that gives the fragrance a clear opening statement.

In the middle phase you notice Cedar, Frankincense and Sandalwood holding a velvety sandalwood direction.

The accord architecture is shaped by these accords: Balsamic, Wood, Amber and Leather without random overlap. Secondary accord layers such as Spicy add depth to the backdrop.

From the group perspective the profile is anchored in Spicy, Balsamic, Wood and Ambery. It also reaches into Leather and Green. Within olfactory families the scent maps to Balsamic, Leather, Spicy and Wood.

It's very interesting to see what Molinard's sandalwood is like. I have their vanilla, it's great, and I also adore their lavender, fruity vanilla, and patchouli. I'm 100% confident in this brand! 💪

Molinard, of course, is something else! Glad they didn't overdo the vanilla, thanks for that. But looking at the pyramid, it seems something mysterious awaits us, with notes of frankincense and amber. Intriguing, isn't it? ))

Sandalwood fragrances aren't really my thing, but I can't deny that Molinard really has cool compositions. This perfumery, in particular, impresses with its balance. As an ordinary consumer, I just look at it like a painting: I like it - I don't like it, and here everything is quite harmonious. Although the salty sandalwood that dominates this fragrance isn't quite for me (I prefer sweet notes), you can still feel that the work is done at the highest level. The composition looks filigree, and the sillage is neat but noticeable. It's unisex, but I wish men would try something like this too! If only they'd broaden their horizons a bit in perfumery! 😏
