Fragrance information:

Ambre Mona di Orio, unveiled in 2010, is positioned as a unisex fragrance, falling within the east family. Perfumer Mona di Orio poured every ounce of mastery into this one. Ambre — a proud member of the Nombres D'Or collection. An eau de parfum — light-footed, but utterly unforgettable.

The sillage is moderate — present, but never overpowering. It settles in and stays — the longevity is genuinely high. Brand country — the Netherlands: a place that truly knows its way around a great scent. Ambre Mona di Orio unfolds gradually, effortlessly, and with great refinement — a perfect choice for day or evening.

Perfume information

Description of the composition

The scent of Ambre evolves as a cohesive olfactory arc, where accents shift smoothly and sequentially. The signature of Mona di Orio is evident in the pacing of the notes and the overall aesthetic. Nothing here feels random, and the structure feels complete all the way through. Eau de parfum supports the depth and body this composition needs.

From the group perspective the profile is anchored in Wood, Balsamic, Gourmet and Whiteflower. Within olfactory families the scent maps to East.

In a unified mixed pyramid the notes arrive together with a resinous voluminous mood: Atlas Cedar, Benzoin, Tolu balsam, Vanilla and ylang-ylang. In this case 5 notes work as one coherent layer, building enveloping resinous depth that feels seamless.

The heart and base are read as a continuous motion from lift to depth, which preserves the scent identity through drydown.

The profile is unisex, which sharpens how the fragrance is perceived. In longevity terms High suggests confident staying power. In projection Middle describes the way the scent radiates.

Taken together Ambre sounds complete from start to finish — the start forms character, the middle layer carries the identity, and the base secures the trail. These are the scent structures best judged through real development.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

Amber is certainly present, but you have to search for it among cigarette butts. Alas, on me, this perfume revealed itself as the smell of an ashtray, and it's just disgusting :( )
