Description of the composition

The note pyramid of Mellifera is shaped as an expressive line of development, where layers reveal themselves without rush and without gaps. The signature of Mona di Orio is clear from the opening to the final trail. No excess details, only what works, and the composition keeps a clear direction. Eau de parfum sets the depth and body this composition needs.

In a unified mixed pyramid the opening appears as one connected movement with a musky-amber mood: Beeswax, Heather, Honey and Lavender. Here 4 notes sound as one coherent layer, creating distinctive animalic edge that reads as cohesive from the start.

The middle and base stages are read as a gradual shift without abrupt breaks, which preserves the scent identity through drydown.

The stylistic positioning is unisex, which makes the scent profile easier to read.

At the note-group layer the composition is built around Animals, Wood, Sweet and Green. The palette also extends to Gourmet. At family level the scent maps to East.

Overall Mellifera holds a coherent structure — the opening sets direction, the central phase adds depth, and the base secures the trail. This is the type of composition best understood on skin.
