Description of the composition

The scent of Blasted Bloom is shaped as a living composition, where layers reveal themselves with precision and warmth. The creative approach of Penhaligon's comes through in the pacing of the notes and the overall aesthetic. Every decision feels deliberate, and the fragrance holds its character from opening to trail. Eau de parfum emphasizes the right density and pace of development.

At the note-group layer the composition is built around Mineral, Fruit, Green and Wood. It also reaches into Spicy, Floral, Earthy / Mossy and Musk. At family level the scent maps to Floral.

From the first breath you sense mineral-fresh opening notes: Aquatic accord, Forest Berries and Green Chord.

In the central layer you notice Hawthorn, Pink pepper and Rosehip carrying a velvety sandalwood direction.

The accord architecture is driven by these accords: Aquatic, Floral, Fruit and Musc without random overlap. Background accords such as Wood and Spicy add depth to the backdrop. The stylistic positioning is feminine, which sharpens how the fragrance is perceived.

The smell of rose oil diluted with water leaves much to be desired. It's completely unmemorable, so ordinary and even boring. Honestly, I didn't like it - too faceless and not long-lasting 😕
