The scent of Zizonia unfolds as a cohesive olfactory arc, where notes flow without rush and without gaps. The signature of Penhaligon's is recognizable in the way notes appear and fade. Nothing here feels random, and the structure feels complete all the way through. Eau de toilette supports the right density and pace of development.

At olfactory-group level the structure relies on Citrus, Spicy, Floral and Green. It also reaches into Ambery, Wood and Gourmet. Within olfactory families the fragrance belongs to East and Wood.

In the first seconds you catch sparkling citrus opening notes: Bergamot, Cardamom, Coriander and Orange.

In the central layer you sense Black Pepper, Caraway, Geranium, Ginger, Lavender and Nutmeg holding a warm-spicy direction.

I bought a decant. The scent certainly has character, but it's not too old-fashioned. You can barely feel any flowers, so it doesn't overwhelm with its chypre quality; on the contrary, it's quite soft and fresh 🌼
