Description of the composition

The olfactory structure of Citron is shaped as a layered story, where accents shift with precision and warmth. The signature of Perry Ellis is recognizable in details that define the fragrance identity. Nothing here feels random, and the composition keeps a clear direction. Eau de toilette keeps the depth and body this composition needs.

Right at the start you sense invigorating sunny opening notes: Apple, Bergamot and Mandarin. These 3 notes build sunny vitality that anchors the first impression immediately.

When the opening settles you notice Black Pepper, Geranium, Lavender and Rosemary holding a spicy-aromatic direction.

The accord architecture is driven by these accords: Aromatic, Citrus, Floral and Fruit forming a compact and readable structure. Secondary accord layers such as Musc, Wood, Amber and Spicy add depth to the backdrop.

At olfactory-group level the structure relies on Fruit, Citrus, Spicy and Floral. It also reaches into Green, Aromatic, Ambery and Wood. Within olfactory families the scent maps to Fruit and Spicy.

Taken together Citron reads as a cohesive composition — the first stage creates momentum, the middle layer carries the identity, and the final phase leaves a stable imprint. This is the type of composition best understood in wear.

This is a fougère, of course, but it has a strange, almost medicinal feel to it. There's a lot of citrus in it, and the herbs are sharp, but it's precisely these that create that pharmacy-like undertone. Definitely not for everyone )
