Description of the composition

The note pyramid of Roberto Cavalli Black unfolds as a continuous scent journey, where notes flow with precision and warmth. The creative approach of Roberto Cavalli is evident from the opening to the final trail. No excess details, only what works, and the fragrance holds its character from opening to trail. Eau de toilette supports the depth and body this composition needs.

At olfactory-group level the composition is built around Wood, Spicy, Aromatic and Floral. The framework further includes Green, Musk and Gourmet. From a family perspective the composition sits in East and Fern.

In the first seconds you meet astringent woody top notes: Bamboo, Coriander and Tarragon.

In the heart you sense Geranium, Lavender and White Pepper keeping a opulent floral direction.

The accord architecture rests on these accords: Aromatic, Gourmet, Floral and Musc with each one in a clear role. Additional accords such as Wood and Spicy expand the olfactory volume in the background. The stylistic positioning is masculine, which sharpens how the fragrance is perceived.

Overall Roberto Cavalli Black holds a coherent structure — the first stage creates momentum, the central phase adds depth, and the final phase leaves a stable imprint. This is the type of composition best judged on skin.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

The scent is truly interesting, but its pyramid is far from standard. The bottle is simply gorgeous, looking very noble. I've heard from girls that it's sexy, but honestly, it's better not to wear it to work. Its opening is sharp and not the most pleasant, but if you wait a bit, you can enjoy amazing heart and base notes. All in all, it's worth enduring for this pleasure! )))
