Quality control in perfumery: how fragrances are tested

The year 2001 gave us Mouse Roccobarocco. This is a feminine fragrance rooted in the citrus family. Perfumer Maurizio Cerizza is the author behind this composition. From the Mouse collection; released as eau de parfum.
Country of origin — Italy. Mouse Roccobarocco unfolds gradually, effortlessly, and with great refinement — a perfect choice for day or evening.
The fragrance is highly persistent and lasts on the skin for up to 8–10 hours, gradually revealing its notes and allowing you to enjoy the full bouquet throughout the day
The scent is clearly present near you, but it does not fill the entire space
The perfume has a rich aroma that will help you stand out from the crowd and create a memorable image
A rich and elegant fragrance that gently unfolds on the skin and lasts most of the day, leaving a delicate trail
Fragrances for spring and summer unfold with light citrus notes, floral and fruity accords, filling the composition with freshness, airiness, and a feeling of carefree lightness on warm days
The scent of Mouse is built as a continuous scent journey, where accents shift without rush and without gaps. The creative approach of Roccobarocco is recognizable from the opening to the final trail. Nothing here feels random, and the structure feels complete all the way through. Eau de parfum keeps the depth and body this composition needs.
The internal accord map is driven by these accords: Citrus, Floral, Musc and Wood with each one in a clear role. Additional accords such as Powdery, Amber and Spicy enrich the profile without taking over. The gender direction is feminine, which makes the scent profile easier to read.
In the first seconds you sense radiant lemon-bergamot first notes: Juniper berries, Lemon, Neroli and Tangerine.
When the opening settles you notice Black Pepper, Cardamom, Iris, Lily of the Valley, Pink pepper and Rose keeping a spicy-aromatic direction.
From the group perspective the structure relies on Fruit, Citrus, Floral and Spicy. It also reaches into Whiteflower, Animals and Musk. From a family perspective the composition sits in Citrus.
Overall Mouse sounds complete from start to finish — the start forms character, the central phase adds depth, while the drydown anchors the memory. These are the scent structures best judged in wear.
