Description of the composition

The composition of Lotus Bleu is built as a continuous scent journey, where notes flow without rush and without gaps. The signature of Roger & Gallet is recognizable from the opening to the final trail. Every decision feels deliberate, and the fragrance holds its character from opening to trail. Fragrant mist emphasizes a balanced rhythm of unfolding.

The olfactory framework is built around these accords: Balsamic, Citrus, Floral and Musc with each one in a clear role. Background accords such as Wood and Spicy add depth to the backdrop. The profile is feminine, which sharpens how the fragrance is perceived.

Right at the start you meet radiant lemon-bergamot top notes: Bergamot, Mandarin, Neroli and Orange.

When the opening settles you notice Lotus, Orange blossom and Rose carrying a opulent floral direction.

At olfactory-group level the structure relies on Citrus, Floral, Whiteflower and Balsamic. The framework further includes Wood, Gourmet and Musk. From a family perspective the scent maps to Citrus and Floral.

Overall Lotus Bleu holds a coherent structure — the opening sets direction, the heart develops the core line, and the final phase leaves a stable imprint. This is the type of composition best understood on skin.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. Not all fragrances can hook me, and this one, it seems, is no exception. The lotus here is too obtrusive, as if screaming about itself, and its dusty nuance reminds me of a water lily. But I liked soap with this scent, it's more restrained and doesn't showcase the lotus so overtly
