Fragrance information:

The world first encountered Bois d'Orange by Roger & Gallet in 2009. A unisex fragrance rooted in the wood, citrus, and aromatic families. Perfumer Dominique Ropion left a distinct mark on this composition. A fragrance from the Wellbeing Water collection, in fragrant mist.

Expect a delicate sillage: a quiet, intimate presence. It stays on the skin for a good while — longevity is firmly in the moderate range. Made in France, backed by a long and proud tradition. A rich, layered composition that reveals itself differently depending on your mood and the time of day.

Perfume information

Description of the composition

The composition of Bois d'Orange unfolds as a living composition, where notes flow without rush and without gaps. The signature of Roger & Gallet is evident in details that define the fragrance identity. Nothing here feels random, and the composition keeps a clear direction. Fragrant mist keeps a balanced rhythm of unfolding.

The olfactory framework is built around these accords: Aromatic, Citrus, Floral and Wood forming a compact and readable structure. Background accords such as Amber expand the olfactory volume in the background. The gender direction is unisex, which makes the scent profile easier to read. In longevity terms Middle points to a sustained drydown presence.

At the opening of the pyramid you meet radiant lemon-bergamot top notes: Basil, Lemon Verbena and Mandarin.

In the central layer you detect Neroli and Orange blossom keeping a opulent floral direction.

At the note-group layer the profile is anchored in Aromatic, Citrus, Floral and Whiteflower. The framework further includes Ambery and Wood.

Taken together Bois d'Orange reads as a cohesive composition — the first stage creates momentum, the central phase adds depth, while the drydown anchors the memory. These are the fragrances best experienced on skin.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

Great mandarin with a light green touch, very pleasant, a little bit like cologne. The fact that it's a body spray is actually a plus, because its fresh scent doesn't have that annoying chemical smell
