Perfume information

Description of the composition

The composition of Gingembre Rouge Intense evolves as a living composition, where notes flow with precision and warmth. The signature of Roger & Gallet is clear from the opening to the final trail. Nothing here feels random, and the structure feels complete all the way through. Eau de parfum sets the right density and pace of development.

At the note-group layer the structure relies on Spicy, Floral, Wood and Balsamic. The palette also extends to Gourmet and Whiteflower. Within olfactory families the composition sits in East, Floral and Wood.

In the top tier you detect spicy sparkling top notes: Pink pepper and Spices.

At the core of development you meet Ginger and Iris keeping a warm-spicy direction.

The internal accord map is driven by these accords: Balsamic, Citrus, Wood and Powdery forming a compact and readable structure. Secondary accord layers such as Spicy enrich the profile without taking over. The profile is feminine, which clarifies the composition character.

Taken together Gingembre Rouge Intense reads as a cohesive composition — the first stage creates momentum, the heart develops the core line, and the base secures the trail. These are the fragrances best judged through real development.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

The fragrance surprised me with its longevity, even though it's just an eau de cologne. It's not just light, but rather like a balm, with notes that seem familiar. Perhaps it's something like Vietnamese star balm

The fragrance is interesting, of course, but not without its flaws. On my skin, it opened up with some sweet soda and sharp ginger, which causes discomfort. Warm, yes, but there's not much refreshing about it. It doesn't sound very diverse, and its longevity is average. I have a decant, but I wouldn't buy a full bottle
