Description of the composition

The composition of Peau de Pierre is a harmonious blend of mixed notes that create a captivating olfactory journey.

At its core, Earthy notes (soil) ground the fragrance with a rich, earthy depth, evoking images of damp forest floors and natural terrains.

These are complemented by Ozone, which adds a crisp, clean airiness, reminiscent of fresh rainfall and open skies.

Interwoven throughout is Smoke, providing a subtle, smoldering warmth that balances the cool mineral aspects.

Finally, a robust Woody accord ties everything together, offering stability and a timeless woody character that lingers on the skin.

This unique combination results in a scent that feels both primal and sophisticated, making it a standout in the Woody family with hints from Earthy / Mossy and Mineral groups.

The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

A fragrance where patchouli and minerals are felt, with an interesting aldehydic wood and light musk. Spicy notes dominate, but the freshness doesn't disappear either 🌟

The fragrance resembles a storm where earth, smoke, and fragments of something familiar are mixed. It's intriguing, but it lacks a clear structure; there's a real chaos. With each breath, thoughts full of disorder and confusion arise

In this fragrance, there's an oud smoke that's quite sharp, and patchouli adds its touch. Honestly, it seems strange to me. It doesn't sound very harmonious, but at the same time, it sparks interest

«Stone Skin» is a work by Daphné Bugey from Firmenich. Creating a musky fragrance that conveys the hardness of stone is no easy task. Bugey managed this by using a woody-smoky accord, blended with fresh, slightly soapy citruses and oily pear wax with ambrette. The fragrance has an interesting clove-anise nuance that permeates the entire composition. The musky bouquet gives the stone warmth and a loose structure. Compared to Peau de Soie, this fragrance seems more intense and with more sillage, with greater volume. It is more dynamic and spacious. The composition develops, starting with a cool aldehydic-musky opening with fruits and ending with a musky-animalic base. The animalic shade adds warmth and makes the fragrance soft to the touch. If this is stone, it is warm, jade-green, and beneath it lies living flesh. But one should not think that Peau de Pierre has clear boundaries; all transitions are not so easy to trace. This is a musky fragrance, and every element is under the influence of a complex musky accord: colors and facets are blurred so as not to distract from the main thing - the person who wears it. Can «Stone Skin» be considered armor against the outside world? Hard to say. There is nothing repulsive in the fragrance; it is lively and pulsating, although the texture resembles a warm stone glowing from within. Like Peau de Soie, Peau de Pierre reveals itself only on the skin, completely merging with it

Complete disappointment. The fragrance isn't bad, of course, but where are all those notes everyone talks about? I bought it blind, and here's the result. A three, yes, it's pleasant, but nothing more 😒

A fragrance that can be described as woody with earthy and smoky notes. It has a light musky and almond component, and a subtle soapy accent is also present. It's truly versatile: suitable for both the office and evening gatherings. There's something comfortable and sexy about it, which makes it appealing for various situations

It was interesting to try this leather, it reminds me of stone. You can really feel notes of earth and soil here, something dusty, but there's also air. Smokiness is present too, and the synthetic aspect feels like fabric. On a man, it unfolds quite curiously. I applied it to my husband and was left with the feeling that something important was slipping away 😔
