Description of the composition

The note pyramid of Jasmin evolves as an expressive line of development, where accents shift without rush and without gaps. The signature of The Body Shop is recognizable in the pacing of the notes and the overall aesthetic. No excess details, only what works, and the structure feels complete all the way through.

The profile is feminine, which sharpens how the fragrance is perceived.

Even with limited opening data the fragrance still reads clear and composed, and the first accord stays clean and precise.

The deeper layers are perceived as a gradual shift without abrupt breaks, which preserves the scent identity through drydown.

Its classification still comes through through stage transitions.

Taken together Jasmin holds a coherent structure — the first stage creates momentum, the middle layer carries the identity, while the drydown anchors the memory. These are the fragrances best experienced on skin.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.
Sillage
Very conspicuous

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

This jasmine is absolutely not for me. It's too cloying, reminds me of soap, and the animalic notes are just awful. The indole in it is so intense, it's just too much. On my skin, it behaves capriciously, and I didn't like it 😒

Jasmine here is, of course, cold, but it seems to me that the musk sort of adds its own touch. Overall, the fragrance reminds me more of pure jasmine, although there's a slight soapiness that, in principle, isn't off-putting. Curious how it unfolds!! Can't quite say if I like it or not
