Vanessa Tugendhaft Or Blanc: a white diamond in the world of perfumery

Imagine a fragrance that shines like a gemstone—pure, multifaceted, and dazzling.

That is exactly what Or Blanc Eau de Parfum by the Belgian-Parisian brand Vanessa Tugendhaft, launched in 2012, is like.

This women's fragrance is an ode to luxury and natural elegance, created by the talented perfumer Alice Dattee.

The fragrance belongs to the floral, musky, and woody families, making it a versatile companion for both everyday wear and special occasions.

Vanessa Tugendhaft, a heritage jewelry house, infused this fragrance with the philosophy of diamonds: perfection, light, and weightlessness. Or Blanc is no exception.

Its very strong sillage leaves a trail worthy of royal jewels, yet the fragrance feels airy and transparent.

It is for those who appreciate refinement and want to be noticed without saying a word.

If you love Or Blanc, take a look at similar compositions: Henri Bendel Jasmine & Tuberose, Guerlain Un Air de Samsara, and Valeur Absolue Harmonie.

Each one explores the theme of white flowers and purity in its own way.

Description of the composition

Top notes of bergamot, paired with spicy laurel and refreshing mint, create a sparkling, cool opening reminiscent of the brilliance of a faceted gemstone.

At the heart of the fragrance, luxurious blossoms unfold: delicate jasmine, velvety orange blossom, and subtly sweet fig—their union is feminine and alluring.

The base accord is a true finishing touch: sensual ambergris, damp moss, enveloping white musk, and noble oud lend the composition depth and lasting power, like an eternal setting for a diamond.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Very conspicuous

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

These white flowers are simply HORRIBLE, and the bay leaf adds some disgusting tartness. The fig, which should be soft, actually smells like coconut, and it's just repulsive. There's no subtlety or femininity here, just a sharp sillage that presses on your brain
