Description of the composition

The note pyramid of Lido evolves as a continuous scent journey, where notes flow smoothly and sequentially. The style of Venezia 1920 comes through from the opening to the final trail. No excess details, only what works, and the structure feels complete all the way through. Eau de parfum supports a balanced rhythm of unfolding.

At the note-group layer the structure relies on Citrus, Wood, Floral and Whiteflower. The palette also extends to Ambery, Spicy and Gourmet. From a family perspective the fragrance belongs to East, Floral and Wood.

From the first breath you detect sparkling citrus first notes: Bergamot, Cedar and Lemon.

When the opening settles you notice Iris and Lily of the Valley holding a opulent floral direction.

The accord profile is shaped by these accords: Citrus, Gourmet, Floral and Wood with each one in a clear role. Secondary accord layers such as Powdery, Amber and Spicy expand the olfactory volume in the background. The gender direction is unisex, which makes the scent profile easier to read.

Taken together Lido holds a coherent structure — the first stage creates momentum, the heart develops the core line, while the drydown anchors the memory. These are the fragrances best understood in wear.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Very conspicuous

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

The scent is woody, with powdery notes and a light almond hint, plus vanilla and a papery smell. At first, it seems quite subtle, but then it develops into a sillage that suits both men and women. In the end, there's a lot of ambroxan, so I've decided to leave it on the men's shelf 😊
