Fragrance information:

Black Jeans Versace, unveiled in 1997, is marketed as a masculine fragrance, falling within the floral and aromatic families. Perfumer Lucien Piquet left a distinct mark on this composition. By character, it falls into the spicy, leather, and wood groups. The palette of this fragrance is exceptionally rich: traces of floral and aromatic can also be found — a rare combination that makes this perfume truly one of a kind. One of the scents from the Jeans collection. The fragrance concentration is eau de toilette.

It carries a moderate sillage, leaving a trail that lingers pleasantly in the air. Recommended dosage: 1-2 sprays on both skin and clothing. A couple of sprays will carry you through the whole day — longevity is firmly high. The birthplace of this fragrance — Italy, a place with a refined nose. Perfume information

Description of the composition

The scent of Black Jeans is shaped as a cohesive olfactory arc, where accents shift smoothly and sequentially. The style of Versace is recognizable in details that define the fragrance identity. No excess details, only what works, and the composition keeps a clear direction. Eau de toilette keeps the depth and body this composition needs.

The accord architecture is driven by these accords: Aromatic, Citrus, Gourmet and Floral forming a compact and readable structure. Secondary accord layers such as Wood, Powdery, Leather and Spicy enrich the profile without taking over. The gender direction is masculine, which sharpens how the fragrance is perceived. In wear duration High suggests confident staying power.

In the top tier you detect invigorating sunny first notes: Ginger, Lavender, Lemon and Lemon Verbena.

In the central layer you detect Caraway, Clove, Geranium, Iris, Jasmine and Rose holding a harmonious floral direction.

At olfactory-group level the profile is anchored in Aromatic, Floral, Leather and Spicy. It also reaches into Wood, Green, Citrus and Whiteflower.

Overall Black Jeans reads as a cohesive composition — the opening sets direction, the central phase adds depth, and the final phase leaves a stable imprint.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

This fragrance definitely deserves a place in my collection! It evokes a feeling of powdery suede, although such notes aren't actually felt. A light powder seems to float around it. Here you can catch dry herbs and bitter nuances. It's multifaceted, yet remains soft and neutral. It smells like real perfumery! It can only be conditionally called masculine; in reality, it's closer to unisex

I can't say I'm an expert in perfumery. I'm not very good at distinguishing accords, and I don't always pick up on ingredients. But what I can say about this fragrance is: if you take regular perfumes in the style of Versace and make them lighter, yet velvety, you'll get exactly this perfume )
