Fragrance information:

The year 2020 gave us Skins x Vilhelm Vilhelm Parfumerie. By character, a unisex fragrance drawing from the fern, leather, and wood families. Jan Vilhelm Ahlgren — the creative mind behind this fragrance. An eau de parfum — light-footed, but utterly unforgettable.

Expect a extremely noticeable sillage: present enough to be remembered. It settles in and stays — the longevity is genuinely high. Produced in the United States, and you can feel it in every note. A rich, layered composition that reveals itself differently depending on your mood and the time of day.

Perfume information

Description of the composition

The scent of Skins x Vilhelm is shaped as a layered story, where notes flow with precision and warmth. The signature of Vilhelm Parfumerie comes through in the pacing of the notes and the overall aesthetic. Every decision feels deliberate, and the fragrance holds its character from opening to trail. Eau de parfum emphasizes the depth and body this composition needs.

Right at the start you detect invigorating sunny first notes: Bergamot, Juniper berries and Tea.

In the central layer you detect Lavender, Leather accord and Violet keeping a aromatic green direction.

The olfactory framework rests on these accords: Aromatic, Citrus, Floral and Wood forming a compact and readable structure. Secondary accord layers such as Leather expand the olfactory volume in the background. The gender direction is unisex, which makes the scent profile easier to read. In wear duration High points to a sustained drydown presence.

At olfactory-group level the structure relies on Citrus, Fruit, Green and Leather. It also reaches into Floral and Wood.

In summary Skins x Vilhelm reads as a cohesive composition — the start forms character, the central phase adds depth, and the final phase leaves a stable imprint. This is the type of composition best judged on skin.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Very conspicuous

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

I don't know what to think, but I'm completely indifferent to this brand. It doesn't evoke any emotions in me, although they do have some decent fragrances. The new release attracts me with its leather accord. Let's see what comes of it 👀

Vilhelm's fragrances are not bad, of course, but they are mainly aimed at women. However, looking at the composition, you can see that some of them might suit men too. So, maybe it's worth trying, who knows, it might actually turn out to be unisex 😄

The scent is quite spicy and with a characteristic tartness, notes of leather and lavender are clearly audible in it. Cold juniper berries together with strong green tea create an interesting background. Overall, it gives an impression of masculinity )

The scent is really long-lasting, but it's so heavy it feels like a stone has been piled on you. The palo santo notes just scream, and people around start asking if I've started a bonfire. That doesn't surprise me, of course. For a dark November, 20 ml might be a decent choice, but for everyday use, it's too intrusive 😒
