History and Identity

Yardley English Rose is an ode to British elegance, launched in 1997.

Created for women, this floral fragrance belongs to the Floral family and is available in Eau de Toilette concentration. It was created by perfumer Lorenzo Dante Ferro.

The history and heritage of Yardley offer a journey into the origins of British perfumery culture.

Founded in 1770 as a soap-making business, the brand had earned a reputation as a symbol of classic style by the end of the 20th century.

English Rose embodies a Victorian garden, where the queen of flowers—the rose—reigns supreme. Delicate, luminous, and clean, it evokes leisurely walks through England’s misty meadows.

Fragrance Notes and Development

The composition opens with a fresh, vibrant accord of Geranium and Rose. At its heart, a bouquet of White Flowers unfolds, lending the composition an airy lightness.

The base is shaped by warm Woody Notes and soft Musk, creating a refined trail.

Although the fragrance trail is barely perceptible, its restraint is part of its charm. English Rose wears close to the skin and delicately, like the whisper of wind in a rose garden.

It is a choice for those who appreciate sophistication without excessive presence.

Who Created the Fragrance

Lorenzo Dante Ferro worked on the composition. His expertise made it possible to blend the classic rose with modern woody-musky notes while remaining true to Yardley’s traditions.

The result is a fragrance that is equally fitting for everyday wear and special moments.

When to Wear It and Similar Fragrances

English Rose is ideal for the spring and summer seasons, bringing a sense of freshness and romance.

If you would like to try something with a similar mood, consider Mancera Gold Intensitive Aoud, Byredo Sundazed, or Avon Aqua for Him.

These fragrances share English Rose’s joyful, sunny character.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Frozen roses, cold and ringing, create a feeling of something unattainable. Lavender adds even more coldness to this fragrance, and it becomes almost lifeless. Femininity and elegance are present, but at the same time everything seems too simple, as if something is missing

I adore roses, especially ones like these - cold and transparent, like crystal. The scent reminds me of fresh dew drops falling from leaves. It's nice that for me, this is almost a pure rose scent, as I don't always perceive other notes so well
