Stromboli by Zeromolecole: An Explosion of the Elements

Imagine a walk along the coast of a volcanic island, where the salty breeze mingles with the scent of wild herbs and citrus groves.

This is precisely the image embodied by Zeromolecole in its fragrance Stromboli, released in 2010. This unisex composition energizes from the very first seconds and evokes a feeling of freedom.

History and Creator

Behind the fragrance is the talented perfumer Stefania Marzufero Boni—the brand’s founder and creative force. Her philosophy is to transform memories and emotions into olfactory stories.

Stromboli is no exception: it is dedicated to the volcano of the same name and conveys its wild, primal beauty.

Character and Fragrance Family

The composition belongs to the fougère and aquatic fragrance families. It is a complex, multifaceted scent in eau de parfum concentration.

Its trail is very strong—one application is enough to leave a refreshing trail throughout the day.

Who It’s For and When to Wear It

Thanks to its unisex positioning (unisex), Stromboli is suitable for anyone who appreciates vivid, nature-inspired fragrances.

It unfolds best in warm weather, though its freshness is equally fitting on cooler days. An ideal choice for everyday looks, walks by the water, or creative meetups.

Description of the composition

The Stromboli composition is built on contrasts. It opens with a vibrant citrus accord (citruses) and spicy wormwood (artemisia), which instantly invigorate.

At its heart are cool mint and earthy lichen, creating the impression of damp moss.

The base is composed of marine notes: sea moss and seaweed, adding a salty, mineral nuance. Together, they evoke a symphony of the elements—fire, water, and earth.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Very conspicuous

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

Mint in a scent, I think, would be a great find. And actually, all Zeromolecole perfumes are worth trying, they're truly unique. Some just amaze with their genius, while others cause complete bewilderment. I just can't understand or accept them )

This perfume is kinda weird, I don't get who it's even for. The scent reminds me of stale water and sea mud. They should've added some citrus to liven it up a bit, otherwise it's just depressing
