How could such a beautiful name be reduced to the banal image of an "auntie in heels"? These are real needles, prickly and coniferous, "Girl on Needles" opens up a whole spectrum of associations, not just one single meaning. Allow me to share my impressions of the fragrance. This is not a winter perfume; rather, it's suitable for transitional periods, for example, for late August, when it's still hot and stuffy in the pine forest, but a light breath of autumn is already felt, bringing sad thoughts. Caramelized fruits add sweetness, but vetiver doesn't let them drown in cloying molasses, giving it structure. Bitter notes of sun-scorched grass, and above all this, incense hovers, creating an atmosphere of autumn bonfires and fogs. All this is still ahead: autumn, damp foliage, fogs, bonfires, but now the sun plays in the pine needles, warming the resins and gladdening the soul. Yes, for Russians, so to speak, it's "permissible" to imagine this oriental fragrance in the image of a small village church. Pine needles and incense evoke strong associations with this sacred place, with the surrounding nature and the unity of man with it. The name "Fille En Aiguilles" precisely allows one to imagine a barefoot girl, carefully stepping on the prickly coniferous cover towards the church. She doesn't go inside, but sits on the porch, inhaling the scent of the sun-warmed forest and grass wafting from the doors behind. This is exactly the picture I saw when I smelled the fragrance. It is truly natural, not artificial, created with love and carefully given to us, connoisseurs, so that we can appreciate the artist's work and genius.
