Avril Lavigne was born in the Canadian town of Belleville on September 27, 1984. Her parents, French-speaking Canadians, devoted themselves entirely to their faith. As a result, the girl's life in a Baptist family left its mark - she sang in the church choir for a long time.
The family moved to the town of Napanee when Avril was five years old. Avril has a younger sister Michelle and an older brother Matthew. From an early age, the future rock star was passionate about playing the guitar, she simply adored country music, and it was in this style that Avril began singing songs and doing cover versions.
In 1998, she won a contest, after which she performed with Shania Twain, a country star. At 16, deciding to take her fate into her own hands, Avril went to New York; her first audition took place at Arista Records. Her voice was approved, but she did not agree with the way the songs were performed. So Avril Lavigne, crossing America, searched for the company The Matrix, and on June 4, 2002, her first album 'Let Go' was successfully released.
Avril Lavigne's career took off sharply and never declined. She works on music, releases album after album, and records soundtracks for films and cartoons. In addition, Avril has her own clothing line, 'Abbey Dawn'. The first fragrance by Avril Lavigne was released in 2009 under the name 'Black Star'; this perfume was nominated for the FiFi Award, which is the perfume equivalent of the Oscars. In 2010, the fragrance 'Forbidden Rose' appeared, presented in 2011 in two categories at the FiFi Awards.
