Fragrance information:

Avril Lavigne Black Star Eau de Parfum, released in 2009, became an olfactory embodiment of the pop star’s rebellious spirit.

This women’s fragrance from the floral and fruity families won the hearts of young women around the world. Created for the bold and dreamy, it perfectly reflects the singer’s own character.

Avril Lavigne was born in the Canadian town of Belleville on September 27, 1984. Her French-Canadian parents were deeply devoted to their faith.

As a result, growing up in a Baptist family left its mark on her: for a long time, she sang in the church choir. But her inner rebel prevailed, and the world discovered a pop-punk icon.

Black Star is a direct reference to her most successful album—a symbol of freedom and self-expression.

Like the singer herself, this perfume combines tenderness and strength.

Its soft sillage makes it an ideal everyday companion—it wears delicately yet leaves a pleasant aftertaste.

If you love Black Star, be sure to try similar fragrances: Britney Spears Curious, Avon Premiere Luxe, and Masakï Paris Suu.

Each of them interprets the fruity-floral theme in its own way.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

On me, I mainly smell pear, chocolate, and vanilla, plus a bit of blackcurrant, tart and natural. And strangely, I detect plum, even though it's not in the description 😊 The age range is very accurately stated - it's a cute, slightly cheeky scent that's perfect for teenagers just starting their journey with perfumery. Black Star doesn't seem vulgar, doesn't smell artificial, and unfolds quite interestingly. So, despite my bias against celebrity fragrances, I give this one a solid five

This fragrance clearly fits into the category of popular and familiar scents. Sweet notes of fruits and vanilla create a light feeling. It's not too bright, which many might like, but it didn't impress me. It seems more suitable for youth than for adult women 🍏

The fragrance really grabs attention, with black chocolate, sweetish and slightly bitter vanilla, and fresh fruits. But then, unexpectedly, some tart floral-green note appears, spoiling the overall impression. From my experience, sometimes hibiscus can give off such an unpleasant scent 😕

The bottle looks quite cute, I still cherish it. It's simple, but there's a charm to that. On me, the scent reminds me of sweet chocolate with hints of prune. Longevity is good, and for everyday use, it's just perfect

Black Star is simply stunning! This combination of sweet chocolate with vanilla and a slight tartness of blackcurrant creates an amazing effect. Very beautiful and with a small touch of audacity. The sweetness doesn't feel cloying, making it an ideal choice for autumn or early winter. However, it's worth noting that the fragrance fades quickly, and in the frost, it can disappear quite fast
