Victor Wong – about future plans and snow leopards

Immerse yourself in the world of Brecourt — an exquisite niche perfumery house from France, whose history began in 2010. Behind this name are not just founders but talented perfumer sisters, Emilie Bouge and Marie-Eugénie Bouge, graduates of the legendary ISIPCA school. Their brand is a hymn to authenticity, deep emotions, and uncompromising ingredient quality, which immediately set it apart from mass-market perfumes.
The name Brecourt is an homage to family heritage and a tribute to roots. It is derived from the name of the company Bruno Court, which once belonged to the Bouge family. This step underscores the deeply personal connection of the creators with their work. Their journey did not start from scratch: before launching their own project, Emilie honed her skills by collaborating with the renowned company Charabot, one of the oldest suppliers of fragrant substances in the world. This experience became an invaluable foundation for future creations.
The DNA of Brecourt lies in duality and depth, which is vividly expressed in the structure of their catalog. All the house's creations are divided into two key, conceptually different lines: Les Contextuels and Les Éphémères. The first, "Contextual," is dedicated to momentary states of mind, memories, and abstract images. The second, "Ephemeral" (or "Éphémères"), is an exclusive millesime collection where the main role is given to the rarest and most valuable perfumery materials, whose supplies are limited.
To create their debut collection of 11 fragrances, the sisters enlisted the experienced master Jean-Marie Santantoni, author of cult fragrances for major houses. This alliance guaranteed flawless technical execution and allowed Brecourt to assert itself as a serious player in the niche scene from the very first steps. Their perfumes are not just scents but complete olfactory statements, inviting dialogue and introspection.
To understand the house's style, it is worth turning to its most popular creations. In the Les Contextuels line, the true signature scent has become the fragrance Farah / Harâm — a sensual, spicy-woody composition with enchanting notes of rose and patchouli, enveloped in the smoke of incense. Equally recognizable is the beachy-fruity Off To Ibiza, transporting you to the atmosphere of a carefree summer evening. For connoisseurs of refined sensuality, the hypnotic Ambre Noir was created, while the mysterious Captive captivates with a blend of pepper, rose, and vetiver.
The Les Éphémères line offers an immersion into the world of rare materials. Here, creations such as Eau Trouble or Eau Blanche are prized — contemporary interpretations of aquatic and clean themes, executed with niche finesse. Each bottle from this collection is an investment in a unique olfactory experience that may never be repeated.
Brecourt fragrances are always a topic for lively discussion. Their longevity, complex trail, and non-obvious note combinations spark debates and admiration among true connoisseurs. The house continues to evolve, balancing between the accessible emotions of Les Contextuels and the exceptional luxury of Les Éphémères. Which Brecourt fragrance resonates with your inner state? Share your discoveries and opinions in the discussions — for it is in dialogue that true passion for perfumery art is born.
