Fragrance information:

Magnolia & Mûre L`Occitane en Provence, launched in 2013, is marketed as a feminine fragrance, drawing from the chypre and fruit families. Perfumer Karine Dubreuil is the author behind this composition. By character, it falls into the citrus, floral, and fruit groups. The palette of this fragrance is exceptionally rich: traces of wood can also be found — a rare combination that makes this perfume truly one of a kind. Created within the Collection de Grasse collection and available in eau de toilette.

The sillage is moderate — present, but never overpowering. A subtle fragrance: the longevity is low, which suits its gentle character. Country of origin — France: no wonder the fragrance turned out this refined. A rich, layered composition that reveals itself differently depending on your mood and the time of day.

Description of the composition

The composition of Magnolia & Mûre is shaped as a continuous scent journey, where layers reveal themselves without rush and without gaps. The style of L`Occitane en Provence comes through in the way notes appear and fade. Every decision feels deliberate, and the composition keeps a clear direction. Eau de toilette keeps the depth and body this composition needs.

As soon as the fragrance opens you catch sparkling citrus first notes: Bergamot and blackberry. Exactly these 2 notes shape sunny vitality that is impossible to miss.

At the core of development you detect Magnolia and Rose keeping a harmonious floral direction.

The accord profile is driven by these accords: Citrus, Floral, Fruit and Wood forming a compact and readable structure. The profile is feminine, which sharpens how the fragrance is perceived. In longevity terms Low points to a sustained drydown presence.

From the group perspective the composition is built around Citrus, Floral, Fruit and Wood. At family level the fragrance belongs to Chypre and Fruit.

In summary Magnolia & Mûre sounds complete from start to finish — the start forms character, the heart develops the core line, while the drydown anchors the memory. These are the scent structures best experienced through real development.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Low (1 to 2 hours)
2
Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

A fragrance that can be described as berry-rose, with cool notes and sharp patchouli at its base. It's truly long-lasting and leaves a sillage. In my opinion, it's more suitable for an evening out

I threw away the empty bottle. In the end, I squeezed the last drop onto my skin, and suddenly realized it was the scent of watermelon bubblegum. How did I not notice this before? If I had realized it earlier, maybe I would have liked it much more

Blackberry on my skin reminds me of blackcurrant, and I feel that here too. Magnolia, by the way, has some bitterness, I don't know why. I adore berry fragrances, but this one didn't impress me. But Malone with bay leaf and blackberry, in my opinion, is much more captivating

There's no blackberry in this fragrance; rather, it reminds me of a mix of raspberry and blackcurrant, though that's impossible, of course. At the start, you feel berries combined with a tart bergamot, and then the composition unfolds with flowers - delicate rose and magnolia begin to dominate. The scent isn't bad, but it reminds me so much of many others that I didn't feel the urge to buy it 😕
