Identity and Release History

The fragrance This Is Her! by Zadig & Voltaire is an eau de parfum, released in 2016, which instantly became a cult release in the perfume world.

This women's fragrance is part of the This Is Her! collection, reflecting the brand's bold and free-spirited DNA, where rock 'n' roll meets Parisian nonchalance.

Founded by designer Thierry Gillier, Zadig & Voltaire created a fragrance that perfectly captures the spirit of the modern woman – confident, sensual, and independent.

Positioning and Character

This Is Her! is positioned as a women's fragrance that belongs to oriental and gourmand families, making it ideal for cool evenings and special occasions.

Its medium trail leaves a soft yet noticeable trace that attracts compliments without being overwhelming.

The fragrance is suitable for autumn and winter seasons, adding coziness and warmth to everyday life, and pairs well with romantic dates or friendly gatherings.

Application Practice

For optimal development of This Is Her!, point application on skin is recommended – for example, on wrists, neck, or behind the ears, allowing the notes to gradually unfold with body heat.

To apply to clothing, step into the spray cloud to create a light and lasting effect that persists throughout the day.

This eau de parfum has good longevity, so 2-3 sprays are sufficient for a full impression.

Authors and Influence

The creation of This Is Her! involved two talented perfumers: Michel Almairac and Sidonie Lancesseur, whose expertise gave the fragrance depth and uniqueness.

Their collaboration resulted in a perfume that enhanced the reputation of Zadig & Voltaire as a brand capable of creating bold and modern compositions while staying true to its rock 'n' roll spirit.

This release helped attract a new audience, strengthening the house's position in the industry.

Description of the composition

The fragrance pyramid of This Is Her! begins with a bright start, where pink pepper adds a spicy sparkle, and jasmine sambac brings a delicate floral sweetness, creating an intriguing first impression.

In the heart of the composition, warm and cozy notes unfold: chestnut offers a soft nutty depth, vanilla envelops with creamy sweetness, and whipped cream adds an airy and delectable texture, making the fragrance truly gourmand.

The base notes anchor the composition: cashmeran provides a musky softness and longevity, and sandalwood brings woody refinement, creating a long-lasting and comfortable trail.

The notes are grouped into categories: spicy, white floral, fruity, gourmand, sweet, musky, and woody, allowing the fragrance to smoothly transition from freshness to warmth.

Unfolding on the skin, the composition plays with contrasts – from spicy vibrancy to creamy tenderness, ending with a cozy woody-musky accord that stays with you for many hours.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

This fragrance is quite suitable for winter, but you need to be careful with the quantity - a drop will be enough. It's sweet and gourmand, reminiscent of cream and vanilla dessert, but with the addition of pepper, which gives an interesting accent. White jasmine is also noticeable, it kind of integrates into the overall composition. The scent is indeed curious, but I'm not sure how long I'll like it, as I can't wear vanilla scents for more than two hours. Then I feel like washing it off and replacing it with something citrusy. Although, I confess, I don't like sweets in life, but sometimes I want to try something unusual. It lasts well on the skin

The fragrance truly stands out with its originality. First, you feel sweetness, as if you're tasting chocolate or nut paste. But then a sharp pepper note suddenly appears, giving it character. And, of course, floral notes complete the picture. This perfume can confidently be called smart and deep

A milky, sweet, and very appetizing fragrance. People around are delighted, compliments keep pouring in. It's so soft and yet restrained, a real find for gourmands, it smells fresh and relevant ✨

What an amazing scent! It's truly gourmand, yet so unusual and captivating. You can sense white flowers, cream, and also pepper, which harmoniously combines with vanilla-woody notes. This fragrance seems to envelop you, drawing attention to itself

The fragrance is too intrusive and sharp, on me it came across as some cloyingly sweet dessert. Gourmand? Yes, but the sweetness just crushes your brain!! You need to apply it with caution, otherwise you might suffocate. You can't call it cozy, rather, it causes discomfort. The longevity, of course, is not bad, but I'd rather get rid of such a scent quickly

Oh my god, this is awful! 😱 Those who talk about the smell of burnt rubber with sweat are absolutely right! Others, it seems, have some strange post-COVID effects 💯 Well, at least this virus brought something "positive" to someone. And what's with this "her"?! I associate it with some weird boy who constantly makes silly TikToks. The smell (you can't call this an aroma for anything!) is indeed "modern" 🤦😏 The packaging smells like terribly recycled cardboard. Apparently, it's all due to overly naturalistic animal musk, not delicate cashmeran, as the shameless creators try to convince us! 🤷 There's sweetness, but it's not gourmand, it's remnants of some old cream you bought in a store, tried, and immediately threw away 😩

I don't always get along with musky fragrances. Some of them evoke pleasant sensations, while others, I'm sorry, remind me of sweat. In this eau de parfum, I suspect cashmeran, because the other notes quite match my taste. I expected the fragrance to be creamy and warm, like ice cream. But in reality, to me, it smells like a dirty person who didn't bother to wash and just poured something vanilla on themselves. I tried wearing it, but all day I just thought about taking a shower. Once I let a friend try it, and she surprised me by saying that for her, it smelled like cleanliness. In the end, I gave it to her because she really liked it

This fragrance is simply amazing! Sweet cream creates an incredibly cozy and protective feeling. It brings peace and inspiration, filling the atmosphere with warmth. Longevity is excellent, I'm absolutely delighted with this delicate composition

The scent truly impresses with its creamy-milky and woody notes. It's warm, sweet, and gentle, creating a feeling of coziness and femininity. It truly envelops you, like a soft blanket on a cold evening 🌸

This brand's fragrances baffle me. At first, on a blotter and on skin, they seem appealing, but after ten minutes, you want to get rid of them. This scent, unfortunately, was no exception. First, there's some curious note, but then everything turns into cloying sweetness, and suddenly coconut appears, which isn't actually there. I can't understand what's happening

Sandalwood and cream, huh? That's something! The oud note, so feminine, just beckons. But this is definitely not for young ladies. Only one word comes to mind - "unusual"

What an amazing fragrance! Cream with vanilla and a slight hint of pepper create an incredible combination. Milky sandalwood adds depth, and floral notes give it lightness. It's truly a delicate scent that envelops you like a soft cloud. I just can't get enough of it! ))

Vanilla pastry and sandalwood with a milky tint create an interesting cocktail. A little pepper and woody notes add character. The fragrance is truly cozy, as if it hugs you and gives warmth. It's a feeling of safety and comfort that you want to keep ))))

A creamy taste with nutty notes, and all the best you can expect from this fragrance. It feels light and weightless, not overwhelming the senses. In a warm climate, chestnuts unfold especially brightly and appetizingly

This fragrance is just awful. I don't understand how anyone can love it. I wouldn't buy it again even if I were paid to. I hope they discontinue it so no one else has to suffer. At first, when you apply it, some sharp note hits your nose that's just irritating. That's probably the pink pepper screaming about itself. And this feeling doesn't last long, thankfully. Then some florality begins, where jasmine seems to dominate. But that doesn't save the situation. Over time, a creaminess appears, which, frankly, isn't pleasing either. It's somehow unnatural, sticky, and doesn't blend with the flowers. In the end, the fragrance seems flat and boring. No depth, just irritation. Does it change depending on the weather? Who needs that
