This fragrance truly deserves attention, and it's praised for good reason. I often hear people say it's too simple, but that's not the case. Faubourg is something more. It's ambery, with a slight touch of grandiosity, clearly emphasizing status. It has an amazing honeyed quality that harmoniously combines with chypre notes. The perfume doesn't tolerate stuffiness and confinement. Like any exquisite composition, it loses its magic against the backdrop of ordinary scents. But in ideal conditions, it truly unfolds. It starts with a slight bitterness, and then a whole world of honeyed nuances opens up, too noble to be merely sweet. In short, it's MAGNIFICENT!
On me, this fragrance comes across as purely floral, without any of those syrupy-sweet notes, which, honestly, I can't stand. It only contains the highest quality and most fragrant flowers: jasmine, rose, lily, ylang, peony, and tiare. All the notes are very distinct, even though they're gathered into one beautiful bouquet. This perfume has been my summer love for three years now, and I've probably used just as many bottles. And I still love it. It's a holistic, feminine, and timeless scent )
