Meet the maestro of fragrances

Sophie Chabaud is a shining example of how passion and innate talent can pave the way to the world of haute perfumery. Without any formal training in perfumery, this French fragrance creator has managed to establish one of the most recognizable contemporary niche brands—Chabaud Maison de Parfum. Her story began at the private Parisian school Cinquième Sens, where she learned the art of composition. In 2002, together with her husband Christophe, she took a bold step and founded her own perfume house, for which she herself became the author of the first masterpieces.

Signature style and key fragrances

Sophie Chabaud's perfumery style is an ode to elegant simplicity and purity. She is particularly fond of the concept of "white" fragrances, which embody freshness, tenderness, and sophistication. However, it was the gourmet compositions that became the hallmark of the house that brought her brand true popular love and resounding success. Inspired by warm memories of her grandmother's pastry shop, the perfumes Lait de Biscuit and Lait de Vanille have won the hearts of millions of connoisseurs around the world with their cozy and appetizing notes.

But the perfumer's creative palette is much broader. Her collections include the green juiciness of Fleur de Figuier, the sensual charm of Caprice De Sophie, and the mysterious depth of Mysterious Oud. Each of her fragrances is a complete story told through exquisite notes.

The path to success and inspiration

The turning point in Sophie Chabo's career was the rebranding and vivid presentation at the prestigious Esxence exhibition in 2013, after which the entire perfume industry began to talk about her work. Living and working today in the heart of the perfume world—Grasse—Sophie remains loyal to French production and her own vision. She believes that a fragrance should create a holistic atmosphere, which is why the Chabaud Maison de Parfum range pays special attention to home perfumes.

In her search for new olfactory landscapes, Sophie also collaborated with the renowned Parisian atelier Maelstrom, resulting in the exquisite Paysages Olfactifs collection, which includes, for example, the stormy Rose Orage and the dreamy Ile Mythique. Her partner and brand director is Mattia Bono, which allows Sophie to focus entirely on her creative work.

Legacy and influence

Sophie Chabo has proven that creating a successful perfume house requires not only diplomas, but also a sensitive heart, courage, and a unique personal story. Her perfumes — from the nostalgic Lait et Chocolat to the airy Lumière de Venise — have become favorites for those who appreciate sincerity, elegance, and the magical taste of childhood in perfumery. Her story is inspiring and continues to be enriched with new, equally beautiful aromatic chapters.
