Clean perfumery: what is a 'green' fragrance?

Spiros Drosopoulos is one of the most interesting and versatile contemporary perfumers, whose name has become synonymous with artistic boldness in the world of niche perfumery. His path was not straightforward: born in Greece and educated in chemistry, he combined a scientific approach with a deep interest in art and nature. This unique background allowed him to develop a distinctive style, where precision of formula meets poetic perception.
Spiros Drosopoulos' signature style is his ability to create fragrances that transport you to a specific place, moment, or state of mind from the very first breath. He masterfully works with contrasts, balancing light and shadow, warmth and coolness, realistic accords and abstract ideas. His compositions are often based on unexpected, even daring combinations, but always retain a surprising harmony and wearable character.
The perfumer's career is impressive, with collaborations with both cult niche houses and fashion brands. He has created fragrances for the Japanese brand Annayake, the veterinary and vibrant Zoologist Perfumes, and the Dutch brand Oilily. His partnerships with independent brands, where he was given complete creative freedom, have been particularly fruitful, for example, with the Greek brand Baruti, the French brand Magnetic Scent, and the Indonesian brand Digitaria.
Spiros' extensive portfolio includes real hits that collectors seek out and enjoy discussing. His signature work is the exquisite and feminine Annayake - Miyabi Woman. For the Baruti brand, he created the incredibly cozy and realistic Chai, the sensual and complex Perverso, as well as the refreshing Tindrer and the spicy Dama Koupa. In tandem with Magnetic Scent, he created the intellectual Untitled 2, the deep Indigo, and another version of Tindrer. His work for other houses has not gone unnoticed either: the minimalist Digitaria - White and the touching Zoologist Perfumes - Koala.
Spiros Drosopoulos is a striking example of a modern perfumer-author who is not afraid to experiment and question traditional canons. His fragrances, marked by originality and high emotionality, have won the love of connoisseurs around the world and the respect of his colleagues. By exploring his work, you embark on a unique olfactory journey, where each bottle is not just a perfume, but a complete work of art worthy of a place in the most discerning collection.
