Cosmic by Agent Provocateur: A Challenge to the Universe of Fragrances

Imagine a fragrance that transports you to cosmic expanses, where audacity meets elegance—this is precisely Cosmic by Agent Provocateur, released in 2018.

As a perfume water, it promises intense and long-lasting resonance, perfect for modern women seeking something extraordinary.

In Russia, it's often called "Cosmic," highlighting its extraterrestrial allure.

The brand Agent Provocateur is a British challenge to conventions, founded in 1994 by Joseph Corre and Serena Rees, starting with luxurious lingerie and expanding into perfumery while maintaining a spirit of provocation and sensuality.

Cosmic continues this tradition, offering a fragrance that is both playful and sophisticated, perfectly reflecting the brand's DNA, where every detail is a statement of style and independence.

Who Is Cosmic For and How to Wear It

Positioned as a women's fragrance, Cosmic is ideal for confident individuals who value attention to detail and aren't afraid to stand out.

Its middle trail ensures a noticeable yet unobtrusive presence, making it versatile for various occasions—from romantic dinners to daily outings.

The fragrance belongs to the floral and fruity families, giving it freshness and depth, perfect for spring and summer days when you want to feel light and inspired.

While specific recommendations for application on skin and clothing aren't provided, general advice for perfume waters is to apply 2-3 sprays to pulse points like wrists and neck for optimal development and long-lasting effect.

This allows the fragrance to unfold gracefully on the skin, revealing all facets of its composition throughout the day.

Note Palette: A Journey Through the Galaxy of Scents

The composition of Cosmic includes diverse notes such as mojito, pear, rhubarb, jasmine sambac, peony, vanilla orchid, and white cedar.

These elements are combined into groups including drinks, floral, fruity, green, white floral, and woody, creating a multifaceted experience that captivates from the first breath.

Cosmic is not just a fragrance—it's a continuation of Agent Provocateur's legacy, where audacity and luxury intertwine to create something truly memorable.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

The perfume turned out quite artificial. At first, it seems pleasant, but then it starts to resemble soap and leads into a too-sweet space. The name and the scent itself don't match. For me, it actually brings up associations with Winx, it would suit them perfectly :D

There's a clear gourmand note and, strangely, coconut. Too sweet, too vanilla. It smells somewhat cheap, not impressive at all. Maybe it's not bad on its own, but it doesn't suit this brand. It's more of a simpler level, like Azzaro 😒

The fragrance turned out too "teenager" and cloyingly sweet. There's some kind of chemical feel, and its simplicity is just striking. Too much sweetness, it came out a bit too pop-ish 😒

The fragrance is too sweet and, honestly, quite simple. It seems more suitable for teenagers than for adults. The fruits in it don't smell very natural, and the vanilla just overpowers everything!!!

How wonderfully it changes! In autumn, when it was cold, it reminded me of Baccarat with such sweetness that I couldn't even understand where the strawberry came from. And now it has become so juicy and sour, almost like an apple, and I really like that. I've re-evaluated my opinion of it, now I truly enjoy it 🍏

I can't say this fragrance impressed me. I don't want to encounter something that reminds me of bandages and iodine again. If you're a Baccarat fan, then perhaps you should pay attention to this fresher and more youthful interpretation, but with a sour rhubarb aftertaste

The fragrance left me with mixed feelings. It's clearly aimed at young people, especially those who appreciate Baccarat Rouge. It smells much lighter than previous versions, thanks to a bright pear note, which is a pleasant surprise. No "hospital" notes are felt, which is also good. It seems like an ideal option for everyday wear, requiring no special occasion 🌟

The fragrance, like porridge, turned out quite strange. The scent is too simple, even primitive, in my opinion. Although, perhaps it suits girls - in adolescence we all loved such things. But I think something more interesting is missing here

such a fresh and summery fragrance simply cannot fail to delight! it opens with cool notes of mint mojito that instantly lift your mood. green accents of rhubarb add interest, and sweet pear gives a fruity touch that is simply captivating.

in the heart of the composition, the intoxicating scent of peony unfolds, while jasmine sambac and vanilla orchid create an incredibly exquisite combination. all this smoothly transitions into elegant woody nuances of cedar that complete the fragrance. simply magical!

The fragrance is clearly for teenagers. Sweet, fruity, too bright, but completely ordinary. No depth, no mystery, like the classic perfumes of this brand. A complete lack of anything interesting

This version didn't impress me. Too sweet and bright, as if made for teenagers. Mostly, I smell ripe pear, vanilla, and a bit of rhubarb. The longevity of the fragrance leaves much to be desired 😕

Today I really wanted to take it with me, the price was simply gorgeous, and I remembered that I once liked it. I generously applied it to myself and went for a walk around the shopping center. And what do you think? On me, it opened up like Burberry, which reminds me of Baccarat, but for some reason, on me, it smelled like sweet strawberries with vanilla. After returning, I applied Burberry and Cosmic again to my hands, and after a while, I noticed that the difference in scent was only noticeable if tested simultaneously. Honestly, I never really understood what was going on. I already have a second fragrance, so Cosmic remained on the store shelf

The fragrance, to be honest, was a disappointment. It smells like something cheap and artificial. The bottle reminds me of a Christmas ornament, which isn't pleasing either. The first notes are still somewhat okay, but then it becomes clear that it's better not to expect much. Rhubarb, which I adore, doesn't save the situation here. The pear is too sweet, not like a real one. And further on, I don't even want to delve into it, I can't distinguish what else is there

My first impression of this fragrance was that it's like a lighter version of Baccarat Rouge 540, but with a toothpaste aftertaste. And, you know, it turned out to be quite interesting. Especially for those who find Baccarat too intense, there's no heaviness here, as if all the unnecessary elements were removed. After half an hour or an hour, Baccarat fades, and a pleasant fresh fruity scent remains in its place. I won't buy it for myself, because I adore the original and it completely satisfies me, but overall the impression is positive 😊

The new release is really pleasing, but I think it fits more into the Fatale series. The classic scent isn't as noticeable here. There's a cool pear, green, with mint and a slight tartness of rhubarb. It's fresh-sweet, and in the base, you can feel velvety vanilla. I really like this scent too
