Agent Provocateur Electric: a bold challenge in the world of perfumery

Released in 2018, Agent Provocateur Electric is a women's fragrance from the British brand Agent Provocateur, known for its provocative approach to luxury.

Founded in 1994 by Joseph Corre (son of designer Vivienne Westwood) and his wife Serena Rees, the brand continues the traditions of bold design, translating them into perfume compositions, making this release a modern continuation of its bold DNA.

This fragrance is positioned as female and has a medium trail, making it ideal for everyday wear, business meetings, or romantic evenings.

In the concentration of perfume water, it offers a balance of longevity and lightness, highlighting the individuality of its wearer and suiting those who appreciate effortless elegance with a hint of rebellion.

Unveiling and character of the fragrance

Description of the composition

The fragrance pyramid of Agent Provocateur Electric starts with a bright citrus chord, where bergamot, lemon, and lime create a refreshing opening.

In the heart of the composition, fig and fig tree wood unfold, bringing fruity sweetness and woody depth.

The base anchors the fragrance with ambergris and sandalwood, providing a warm and lasting finish.

This combination belongs to the citrus, green, and woody families, creating a memorable and multifaceted bouquet that gradually unfolds on the skin from the first impression to a long trail.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

The fig attracted me, but the development turned out to be completely flat and unexpressive. Greenery and light pollen, like just a fig leaf, but I didn't feel any juiciness. Overall, quite weak

This synthetic stuff again, just awful! Citrus with some soapy aftertaste, like fig leaves stinking. The sweetness is barely noticeable, you can distinguish lemon, but the amber notes and green tint are just irritating. Causes no interest at all, a complete disappointment 😤

The latest fragrances are simply awful, and this one is no exception. Floral, yes, but with some nasty green note and such a synthetic quality that it's simply unbearable 🤢

Don't rush to conclusions after the first try. At first, it seemed too artificial, even a little harsh. But then, suddenly, amazing citrus notes unfolded! This fragrance really energizes you; it's so cheerful and bright, like parties with friends. For such moments, it's simply perfect!

The scent is not bad at all!! Yes, it's inexpensive. So what? The citruses here are really bright and fresh! And those who write bad reviews are just completely audacious!!

Oh, I'll take a risk! I decided to add this bright citrus fragrance to my collection. Everyone around was criticizing it, and I was already bracing for the worst, but something about it caught my attention. I guess the conflicting opinions played a role, but the fragrance itself turned out to be quite pleasant.

This fragrance is simply unbearable. The citrus cocktail of lime and lemon sounds as if someone decided to squeeze juice from sour fruits and drench everything around with it. The fig notes, which should be tempting, actually cause only disgust. And the woody accents of the fig tree - that's just something else. The sillage, which should be elegant, turns out to be intrusive and heavy, as if someone decided to smear you with sandalwood and amber, but not in a pleasant way. In short, this is not a fragrance, but a real torture for the senses

The fragrance, unfortunately, didn't work out. They tried to keep the style by adding bright fresh notes, but the result was disappointing. The fig here reminds me more of a failed air freshener, and the citruses don't sound attractive at all )

What a cool and energetic fragrance! It just fills you with joy! You can feel bright lemon, fresh lime, and fig greenery in it - a real feast for the senses! The longevity, admittedly, is average, and the sillage isn't too intrusive, but that doesn't spoil the overall impression. Just super! ))))

Today, it and Cosmic are at such an attractive price at Letu, a hundred ml for only 2400 - simply incredibly generous! 🎉 But no matter how much I tried to wear it, nothing good came of it. I completely agree with Oksana, it's synthetic, bitter and green, with nuclear citruses 🍋

The fragrance completely failed to meet expectations from Agent Provocateur. I had hoped the fig would smell magnificent, but on me, unfortunately, it turned terribly sour!! It's really a shame it didn't suit me

The fragrance, of course, differs from what's typical for this brand, but on me, it's simply awful. I tried it several times, and each time the result was equally bad. Maybe it would unfold on warm skin, but I don't recommend it without testing 😕

The fragrance truly stands out with its unusualness and interest. The bottle immediately catches the eye, and inside, a bright lemon awaits us, smoothly transitioning into fresh, slightly sweet notes of fig and sandalwood. Honestly, it reminds me more of a unisex scent than something distinctly feminine or sexy. Simply fresh, juicy, and radiating positivity! )))
