Description of the composition

The note pyramid of J-H-L is built as an expressive line of development, where layers reveal themselves with precision and warmth. The style of Aramis is clear in details that define the fragrance identity. Every decision feels deliberate, and the fragrance holds its character from opening to trail. Eau de Cologne supports the depth and body this composition needs.

The accord architecture is driven by these accords: Balsamic, Citrus, Gourmet and Floral with each one in a clear role. Additional accords such as Fruit, Musc, Wood and Amber add depth to the backdrop. The stylistic positioning is masculine, which makes the scent profile easier to read.

In the first seconds you sense radiant lemon-bergamot first notes: Aldehydes, Bergamot, Fruit note and Lemon.

At the core of development you detect Cinnamon, Clove, Jasmine, Rose, Spruce and ylang-ylang keeping a velvety rose-iris direction.

At the note-group layer the profile is anchored in Fairy, Citrus, Fruit and Spicy. The framework further includes Floral, Whiteflower, Wood and Ambery.

Taken together J-H-L reads as a cohesive composition — the start forms character, the middle layer carries the identity, while the drydown anchors the memory. This is the type of composition best experienced through real development.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Very conspicuous

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

What an oriental-spicy perfume! The clove note just blows your mind, so vibrant! And there are also resins, aldehydes, and creamy sandalwood here, I can't help but mention the lingering amber. This fragrance is simply captivating! The spices from the first sniff leave you speechless. It feels like it's from another era, as if it returned from the past along with Opium and Red Moscow 🎉
