Fragrance information:

Since 1988, New West for Him Aramis has never stopped surprising. By character, a masculine fragrance drawing from the fern and water families. The nose behind this fragrance — Yves Tanguy. Created as part of the New West collection. An eau de toilette — light-footed, but utterly unforgettable.

It carries a noticeable sillage, leaving a trail that lingers pleasantly in the air. It settles in and stays — the longevity is genuinely high. Brand country — the United States, with its deep-rooted relationship with the fragrance industry. New West for Him Aramis unfolds gradually, effortlessly, and with great refinement — a perfect choice for day or evening.

Perfume information

Description of the composition

The olfactory structure of New West for Him is shaped as a living composition, where layers reveal themselves with precision and warmth. The style of Aramis is clear in the pacing of the notes and the overall aesthetic. Every decision feels deliberate, and the composition keeps a clear direction. Eau de toilette supports the depth and body this composition needs.

The olfactory framework is shaped by these accords: Aromatic, Citrus, Floral and Fruit without random overlap. Additional accords such as Musc, Wood, Amber and Leather expand the olfactory volume in the background. The gender direction is masculine, which makes the scent profile easier to read. For persistence High points to a sustained drydown presence.

Right at the start you detect grassy-green top notes: Aldehydes, Bergamot, Caraway and Lavender.

When the opening settles you detect Coriander, Geranium, Jasmine, Juniper berries, Laurel and Pine holding a cinnamon-nutmeg direction.

At the note-group layer the composition is built around Fairy, Citrus, Spicy and Green. It also reaches into Aquatic, Aromatic, Floral and Whiteflower.

Taken together New West for Him sounds complete from start to finish — the start forms character, the middle layer carries the identity, while the drydown anchors the memory.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

This fragrance will definitely appeal to those who love aquatic fougères. But, to be honest, since its first release, the formula has changed several times, and unfortunately, this has affected its strength and potential. Now it has more aquatic notes. You can feel mint, aldehydes, and coniferous trees. It's green and coniferous, with light marine accents. Its sillage is truly beautiful 🌊

This perfume is really cool! After I got acquainted with JACQUES BOGART BOGART, I coined a new term for describing such scents - "Bogart-like" For example, Aramis New West from this line has some similarity to Bogart in its base, but it's much fresher and cleaner. At the start, you can feel notes of fresh grass, mint, and pine needles, which creates a very vivid impression. Over time, it transitions into leathery-amber accents. The longevity is simply excellent, 2-3 sprays are enough for the whole day. I think this scent is more suitable for people aged 35 and older - you need to "grow into" it. Next on my list will be Aramis Havana
