Description of the composition

The olfactory structure of Oud Maximus 2020 evolves as a living composition, where layers reveal themselves smoothly and sequentially. The style of Bortnikoff comes through in the pacing of the notes and the overall aesthetic. Every decision feels deliberate, and the composition keeps a clear direction. Perfume extract sets the depth and body this composition needs.

In the top tier you meet sparkling citrus opening notes: Bergamot, Cardamom, Jasmine Sambac and Orange.

In the middle phase you meet Clove, Frangipani, Magnolia, May rose, Rose and Tonka bean holding a harmonious floral direction.

The internal accord map is shaped by these accords: Animalistic, Balsamic, Citrus and Gourmet forming a compact and readable structure. Additional accords such as Floral, Fruit, Musc and Wood expand the olfactory volume in the background.

At olfactory-group level the structure relies on Citrus, Spicy, Whiteflower and Floral. The palette also extends to Musk, Animals, Wood and Balsamic.
