Bortnikoff launched Bonheur in 2018 — and it was a brilliant move. A unisex fragrance rooted in the chypre and aromatic families. It was created by perfumer Dmitry Bortnikov. Created as part of the 1st collection. A perfume extract — light-footed, but utterly unforgettable.

Made in Thailand. Bonheur Bortnikoff unfolds gradually, effortlessly, and with great refinement — a perfect choice for day or evening.

Description of the composition

The note pyramid of Bonheur is shaped as an expressive line of development, where accents shift smoothly and sequentially. The creative approach of Bortnikoff comes through from the opening to the final trail. No excess details, only what works, and the composition keeps a clear direction. Perfume extract keeps the depth and body this composition needs.

The accord architecture is built around these accords: Balsamic, Citrus, Gourmet and Floral forming a compact and readable structure. Background accords such as Wood, Amber and Spicy enrich the profile without taking over. The stylistic positioning is unisex, which clarifies the composition character.

In the top tier you catch delicate floral opening notes: Bergamot, Cardamom, Champaca and Frangipani.

In the middle phase you notice Clove, Grey Ambergris, Myrrh, Nutmeg, Oak moss and Vetiver keeping a spicy-aromatic direction.

At the note-group layer the structure relies on Citrus, Spicy, Floral and Animals. The framework further includes Balsamic, Earthy / Mossy, Wood and Gourmet.

Taken together Bonheur reads as a cohesive composition — the first stage creates momentum, the central phase adds depth, and the base secures the trail. These are the scent structures best judged in wear.
