Identity and Release History

Welcome to the world of Britney Spears Curious, a fragrance that since its debut in 2004 has become a cult phenomenon in the industry.

This scent, released as part of the Curious collection, embodies the sweet success phenomenon of the brand, which conquered the world of perfumery through collaboration with Elizabeth Arden (now part of Revlon).

Its appearance marked a new era for celebrities in the perfume business, combining pop culture with exquisite fragrances.

Positioning and Wearability

Curious is positioned as a women's fragrance, ideally suited for those seeking a light and playful addition to their image.

In the eau de parfum format, it offers balanced longevity, with a medium trail that leaves a subtle trace without overwhelming others.

This fragrance is excellent for everyday wear, dates, or summer days, giving a sense of freshness and confidence.

For optimal effect, we recommend applying it to pulse points on the skin, such as wrists and neck, avoiding excess to highlight its natural unfolding.

Authors and Influence

Curious was created by talented perfumers Claude Dir and Jean Antretter, who managed to embody the playful and sensual spirit of Britney Spears in the fragrance.

Their collaborative work helped strengthen the brand's reputation as a pioneer in the world of celebrity perfumery, bringing notes of modernity and accessibility.

This release not only expanded the audience but also inspired many subsequent releases, proving that fragrances can be both fashionable and high-quality.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

In this perfume, the lotus and pear are a real letdown. They create a sense of vagueness and banality, and the sweetness is just uncomfortable. These notes sound too cloying and overdone. If they were left out, the fragrance could be truly amazing ✨

The sweetness is just suffocating, and the scent is intrusive and monotonous. If coconut is even present, it's definitely not well-executed

What a damn cool scent! Sweet and fresh, just super pleasant and gentle. It's not overwhelming, doesn't get tiring, leaves a great impression. Yeah, the longevity isn't the best, but it has sillage, and that's good!

The scent evokes a strange feeling, the pear here is really sweet, but the flowers seem to get lost in the background. Milky and creamy notes emerge, but it's unclear where they come from. Overall, an interesting but sad scent, leaving an aftertaste of longing 🍐

The scent reminds me of Piña Colada, coconutty, with a slight alcoholic tang and vanilla sweetness. It's long-lasting and leaves a trail, but now it just brings back nostalgia, feels too sweet 😅

The scent's not bad, totally wearable, not too sweet. But there's some sad note that's bothering me, can't figure out what it is, maybe lotus. But it brings on this melancholy feeling. It's like the circus packed up and left, but the clowns stayed behind, looking all tired and sad 🤔

At first, it didn't impress me, but then it somehow grew on me. There's something strange about it, even a bit harsh. It's one of those cases where you start to realize its depth over time. The vanilla note is really unique, and that's what draws you in ))))

The scent is simply amazing, lasts on me all day! 🍃 I don't detect any sweetness in it, but fruity notes are definitely there, and floral ones add charm. Plus, there's a slight tartness in the base, which makes it very interesting 🌸 It's so versatile and easy to wear that I happily wear it to work, and my colleagues just love it! 😊

The smell is somewhat sour, too fresh and youthful. It's just annoying. On the skin it lasts so-so, but on clothes - no lie, a whole week! That's simply astonishing. There's no sillage, and that's sad - I want to share such joy with others. But it is, yes, sensual, almost intimate, seductive

What a shit! In the rain it opens up decently. Coconut and milk with cream create warmth. But a chemical note appeared, unclear where from

The bottle, of course, is eye-catching, but that doesn't save the situation. The scent isn't all that sweet, but that doesn't make it any better. If you don't like sweet notes, then maybe it's worth taking a chance and trying it. Longevity, in principle, isn't bad for its price, but that's no reason to celebrate

The fragrance is sweet, suitable for young girls. On me, it opened up with pear, magnolia, and lotus, but it didn't impress me when worn

I can't say exactly how the fragrance of the EDT itself smells, but the shimmer stick that comes with it is truly to my liking. The scent of vanilla and coconut, so subtle and slightly sweetish, gradually turns into a note of good soap. There's some bitterness felt in this combination, as if something is lost, and it leaves an unpleasant feeling

The Britney Spears fragrance makes me nostalgic for my carefree youth. Her whole collection, in my opinion, is more for teenage girls, like 13-16. I definitely wouldn't pick it for myself, but I'd gladly recommend it to my little sister 🌸

Bottles with pumps are just a godsend, I adore them! The perfume sprays in such a way that the cloud is wide, and the drops on the skin are fine. But these particular perfumes are better used with a rollerball. They're already light, quickly disappear from the skin, and on top of that, the spray concentration is reduced. Overall, the scents aren't bad, they're cheerful, smell like pear drops, but there's no longevity, no sillage either, and no other delights for a true fragrance lover((😤
