Perfume information

Description of the composition

The scent of Douglas Hannant is shaped as a layered story, where layers reveal themselves smoothly and sequentially. The creative approach of Robert Piguet is recognizable in the pacing of the notes and the overall aesthetic. Every decision feels deliberate, and the fragrance holds its character from opening to trail. Eau de parfum keeps the right density and pace of development.

Right at the start you detect radiant jasmine opening notes: Gardenia and Pear. These 2 notes set light sensuality that anchors the first impression immediately.

When the opening settles you sense Tuberose keeping a silky white floral direction.

The internal accord map rests on these accords: Floral, Fruit, Musc and Wood with each one in a clear role. The profile is feminine, which clarifies the composition character. In wear duration Middle suggests confident staying power.

At olfactory-group level the profile is anchored in Fruit, Musk, Whiteflower and Wood. The palette also extends to Floral. Within olfactory families the fragrance belongs to Floral.

Taken together Douglas Hannant sounds complete from start to finish — the start forms character, the heart develops the core line, and the base secures the trail. This is the type of composition best understood in wear.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

A floral-fruity fragrance that simply shines. It opens with bright orange blossom, and sweet pear adds juiciness to it. Tuberose here is very expressive, and jasmine and gardenia add freshness without overloading the composition. Musk in this fragrance makes it soft and enveloping, creating a pleasant aftertaste

What a pear shampoo this is, simply amazing! Real fruity freshness, nothing less. Reminds me of something like Tresor in Love - it also has a fruity scent, like you're in a bath with foam

Douglas is simply a gem among all the Piguets. Tuberose in a bouquet of flowers, reminds me of Poison, and I'm thrilled with it! 🌸
