Fragrance information:

The world first encountered Gossip by Cindy Adams in 1997. By character, a feminine fragrance drawing from the east and wood families. Perfumers Cindy Adams and James Krivda joined forces to create something truly special. In eau de parfum — and that's all it takes to fall in love.

Expect a noticeable sillage — enough to be remembered, not enough to overwhelm. Every application feels like a little ritual — longevity is low. Made in the United States, backed by a long and proud tradition. A rich, layered composition that reveals itself differently depending on your mood and the time of day.

Description of the composition

The note pyramid of Gossip is shaped as a continuous scent journey, where layers reveal themselves with precision and warmth. The creative approach of Cindy Adams comes through from the opening to the final trail. Every decision feels deliberate, and the composition keeps a clear direction. Eau de parfum emphasizes the depth and body this composition needs.

From the first breath you detect delicate floral opening notes: Osmanthus, Tangerine and Violet. These 3 notes set romantic softness that gives the fragrance a clear opening statement.

When the opening settles you detect Jasmine, Maple, Rosehip and Tea carrying a silky white floral direction.

The stylistic positioning is feminine, which makes the scent profile easier to read. In wear duration Low suggests confident staying power. In projection Noticeable describes the way the scent radiates.

At the note-group layer the profile is anchored in Floral, Citrus, Whiteflower and Wood. It also reaches into Green, Ambery, Gourmet and Musk. At family level the composition sits in East and Wood.

Taken together Gossip sounds complete from start to finish — the first stage creates momentum, the heart develops the core line, while the drydown anchors the memory. These are the scent structures best understood on skin.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.
Persistence
Low (1 to 2 hours)
2
Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

The first foreign perfume I bought left me with strange feelings. At that moment it seemed like something incredible, but now I don't understand what impressed me so much back then. Sweet peaches in some cloying syrup and the smell of a rose that had long withered. It might sound interesting, but in reality, it's just unbearable. I didn't even think about modesty back then, but now I realize it was complete madness )
