The fragrance unfolds as a true perfumery story: the top notes provide a burst of freshness with citrus and green accents, the heart blooms with rich floral bouquets, and the base envelops with woody and balsamic notes, creating a long-lasting and memorable trail.

Each layer of the composition is carefully crafted to guide you through an emotional journey full of contrasts and harmony.

For Whom and How to Wear

Cosmogony Proserpina is a Women's fragrance in the concentration of Eau de Parfum, with a Medium trail that leaves an elegant and unobtrusive trace.

For optimal development, Pointwise Application on the skin is recommended, allowing the notes to evolve gradually and highlighting the fragrance's individuality.

Its universal character makes it a complementary choice that easily adapts to different moods and styles.

The Master Behind the Fragrance

Behind the creation of this amazing composition is the legendary perfumer Bertrand Duchaufour, known for his innovative approach and ability to combine traditional techniques with modern trends.

His involvement gives Proserpina a unique style, strengthening Cosmogony's position as a bold and authoritative player in the niche perfumery market, inspiring fans to new discoveries.

The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Chypres - I don't like all of them. Duchaufour is a lottery, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Brocard is rare, only one in five hits the mark. With Proserpina - it's a total mess. I prefer it to be clear, with mossy notes and bitter herbs, like in an apothecary. Pomegranate, though complex, I'm ready to accept, even if it initially seems dark and earthy. No wonder Proserpina is the goddess of the underworld. After an hour, the scent changes, becoming a little lighter and softer, but that herbal aftertaste doesn't go away. I'm looking for flowers, they are there, but not under the sun. But I'm glad I can smell ylang, mixed with guaiac. Well done, Brocard, for creating such an interesting fragrance with Duchaufour's help

This perfume is a true mossy chypre, with wine and red notes that create a sense of nobility. The tartness here perfectly combines with softness. I really liked the opening, it doesn't go into an awkward retro feel, it just smells pleasant! 🌸 In the drydown, I caught tea notes, rose, and musk, which on me smells a bit soapy. This combination reminds me of an echo of Brocard Early Morning. And then pine needles appear with milky and suede accents, as if patchouli with a balsamic base. The perfume sits close to the skin

I mostly wore this chypre in autumn and spring, but this summer I decided to try it and realized that stereotypes aren't always true. This perfume, it turns out, unfolds beautifully in warmth, but in the cold, it can be too sharp. Late autumn adds a certain melancholy to it, but overall it's not bad.

Now I sense tart pomegranate with bitter honey, herbs like chamomile and immortelle, as well as green patchouli without any mustiness. Labdanum and moss are also present. The scent is spicy-green, it distracts from the heat and gives energy during the day, and in the evening, it sets a mood for calm reflection.

But there's no melancholy or tragedy in it; rather, it's like a cheerful little witch brewing something in her pot. Longevity and sillage are moderate, unisex, chypre - it's always a bit retro, if you ask me

Drives me crazy, but easier to catch. Goes well with a long dress, creates an unusual atmosphere. There's something cosmic or the packaging influences. Really like it, but the price bites

A cold white floral scent. I don't like it. It reminds me of something between lily and magnolia. Perhaps it's light from a distant galaxy, traveling to us through millions of years

I mostly wore this chypre in autumn and spring, but as soon as I tried it in summer, I realized stereotypes aren't for me. The perfume, it turns out, unfolds wonderfully in warmth and heat, and a minimal dose makes it versatile: it's good for a breezy walk as well as for evening tea at home. In cold weather, it can seem harsh, and late autumn adds a touch of sadness to it.

Now I smell tart pomegranate with bitter honey, herbs (chamomile, immortelle), green patchouli without mold or a basement feel, soft frankincense, and moss. The scent is spicy-green and tart, it distracts from the heat and gives energy during the day, and in the evening it sets you up for calm reflection. There's no melancholy or tragedy in it; rather, it's a cheerful little witch who conjures and brews various potions in her pot, maybe even sips a shot of pomegranate tincture in between. Longevity and sillage are moderate, unisex, chypre - it's always a bit retro, in my opinion ✨

So much talk about this fragrance, it's time to release it for everyone. The notes of pomegranate, wormwood, and wine are simply captivating, and the perfumer's name alone sounds like an advertisement 😏
