Description of the composition

The note pyramid of El Cosmico is shaped as an expressive line of development, where layers reveal themselves with precision and warmth. The style of D.S. & Durga is evident in the pacing of the notes and the overall aesthetic. No excess details, only what works, and the composition keeps a clear direction. Eau de parfum emphasizes a balanced rhythm of unfolding.

At olfactory-group level the composition is built around Spicy, Wood, Fairy and Mineral. The framework further includes Green and Aromatic. Within olfactory families the scent maps to Aromatic and Fern.

As soon as the fragrance opens you detect dry woody top notes: Hot pepper, Pine and Shrubs.

At the core of development you meet Creosote and oak carrying a ephemeral powdery direction. At the foundation the composition is fixed through Sand and Wax, extending a dry mineral trail.

the scent reminds me of pickled cucumbers, neatly arranged on old, creosote-soaked railway ties. honestly, I don't see the point in wearing it. but, being curious, I decided to delve into the creators' concept, and it gave me interesting sensations. this perfume is clearly about the night. about a night in the desert, perhaps in Marfa, Texas. imagine a clear summer night in the desert. a velvety sky, strewn with stars and galaxies, nebulae, stretching from one horizon to another. everything is so close and yet so far. the feeling that you are just a grain of sand in the Universe. at night in the desert, it's cold and often damp. everything that warmed up under the scorching sun reveals new facets of smells at night. if you delve into these associations, you can find a lot of interesting things in El Cosmico. but only those strong in spirit will be able to wear it. I'm not ready for that yet

When creating this fragrance, it seems the perfumer really got carried away with aliphatic aldehydes and added too many of them. Yes, they often help create a familiar incense accord, but in El Cosmico, they are clearly overdone. This creates an imbalance and spoils the overall harmony. Behind this abundance hides some unclear smoky-woody accord that I couldn't recognize, except perhaps cedar and birch tar - and even those in a distorted form, as if under the influence of evil aldehydes. All in all, not impressed)))

The cleanliness of carrots, quartz sand, echoes of Hermes, a hint of spices with nuances of tar. Beautiful, but too volatile, dry, and not long-lasting. Memories of something past, as if it was once important, and now only a feeling of emptiness remains

First reaction, honestly, was: ugh, cumin! But then, when I sniffed closer, I realized: damn, it's a strange but pleasant smell. Usually I can't stand cumin, but here I'm drawn to inhale it. They balanced everything perfectly, well done!
