Description of the composition

The olfactory structure of Afloat evolves as an expressive line of development, where layers reveal themselves with precision and warmth. The signature of Derek Lam is evident from the opening to the final trail. No excess details, only what works, and the composition keeps a clear direction. Eau de parfum sets the right density and pace of development.

Without strict stage separation the fragrance opens as a single chord with a inspiring floral mood: Iris and Mimosa. Here 2 notes sound as one voice, building an elegant floral wave that keeps the opening compact and balanced.

The inner phases are felt as a gradual shift without abrupt breaks, which gives the structure continuity.

The internal accord map is shaped by these accords: Floral and Powdery with each one in a clear role. The gender direction is feminine, which makes the scent profile easier to read.
