Perfume information

Description of the composition

The scent of Drunk On Youth is shaped as a layered story, where accents shift with precision and warmth. The style of Derek Lam is clear in the pacing of the notes and the overall aesthetic. Nothing here feels random, and the structure feels complete all the way through. Eau de parfum sets the right density and pace of development.

From the group perspective the structure relies on Fruit, Floral and Whiteflower. At family level the fragrance belongs to Floral and Fruit.

In a unified mixed pyramid the opening appears as one connected movement with a pulsating fruity mood: Apple and honeysuckle. Here 2 notes sound as one integrated frame, creating playful berry energy that reads as cohesive from the start.

The heart and base are perceived as a continuous motion from lift to depth, which gives the structure continuity.

The internal accord map rests on these accords: Fruit without random overlap. The profile is feminine, which clarifies the composition character.

In summary Drunk On Youth sounds complete from start to finish — the start forms character, the middle layer carries the identity, and the base secures the trail. This is the type of composition best judged on skin.

The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

It seems that the information about the fragrance pyramid is incomplete, or I just don't catch all the nuances. For me, this scent is associated with lemon and flowers that exude sweet nectar. The fragrance is indeed pleasant, floral, and warm, but its longevity isn't great. Plus, my bottle had a crimping issue )
