Description of the composition

The olfactory structure of Mimosa is shaped as a living composition, where notes flow smoothly and sequentially. The signature of D'Orsay is clear from the opening to the final trail. No excess details, only what works, and the structure feels complete all the way through.

From the first breath you sense delicate floral top notes: Iris, Jasmine, Mimosa and ylang-ylang. Exactly these 4 notes set romantic softness that is impossible to miss.

In the middle phase you sense Heliotrope, Rose, Violet and Violet leaf holding a velvety rose-iris direction. At the foundation the composition is fixed through Honey, Sandalwood, Vanilla and musk, reinforcing a caramel-warm trail.

The internal accord map is driven by these accords: Gourmet, Floral, Musc and Wood with each one in a clear role. Background accords such as Powdery and Spicy enrich the profile without taking over. The profile is feminine, which makes the scent profile easier to read.

From the group perspective the structure relies on Floral, Whiteflower, Green and Sweet. It also reaches into Wood, Gourmet and Musk.

Taken together Mimosa holds a coherent structure — the opening sets direction, the central phase adds depth, and the base secures the trail. This is the type of composition best understood in wear.
