What a wonderful fragrance! 'Midnight Mass' - that's a mystery to me, but overall, I'm increasingly convinced that it's best to get acquainted with perfumery without any preconceptions, just enjoying it. This scent truly lifts the spirits and brings joy!! From the very first sniff, I wanted to buy it: it's simply gorgeous. Despite its brightness, it remains refined and soft. The first thing I feel is myrrh and magnificent patchouli. The fragrance is so harmonious that you don't want to break it down into notes, you just want to inhale and enjoy. Longevity is excellent, sillage is moderate. Simply incomparable!

I didn't buy the full-size, and now I regret it. The fragrance is beautiful, of course, but not just for frankincense lovers. It's somehow too calm and joyful, even overly so. Festive, but there's nothing special about it. Longevity, yes, is impressive, but that doesn't save it from the overall heaviness 😒

I definitely stopped wearing it in the frost. Etro's Messe de Minuit requires warmth, and I've checked this more than once, so I can say it with confidence. In warmth, it opens up completely differently - so beautiful, with majestic frankincense, smoky-resinous and brown, with light citrus and vanilla notes. And beneath all that, classic incense. No gothic or temples, just cozy incense that makes you think 🤔

In such frosty weather, I don't apply it at all, because this fragrance, it seems, just can't stand the cold, that's for sure. When it's warm, it opens up not just well, but simply magnificently, like a gentle incense with smoky and resinous notes, adding a bit of vanilla and citrus… And the base - the same cozy frankincense, but without any church attributes or gothic feel 😤
