Identity and release history of Francine

Dive into the world of Francesca dell'Oro with the fragrance Francine, released in 2014.

This versatile perfume, created as a perfume water, instantly attracts attention with its freshness and elegance, reflecting the brand's philosophy, where each composition is a story at the intersection of fashion and memories.

The Italian house Francesca dell'Oro, founded in 2012, has from the very beginning established itself as a creative player in niche perfumery, and Francine became one of those releases that highlight its unique approach.

Although it is not part of a specific collection, it can be considered an independent expression of creative vision, perfectly fitting into the brand's lineup.

Authorship and influence on the perfume industry

Behind the creation of Francine is Francesca dell'Oro herself, who acted not only as a perfumer but also as a creative director.

Her style, combining personal experiences with artistic images, gave the fragrance depth and emotionality, which is characteristic of the entire brand portfolio.

This release strengthened Francesca dell'Oro's reputation as a house where perfumery becomes art, accessible to a wide audience.

Francine, as part of this story, demonstrates how the founder's personal approach transforms into fragrances that speak to each nose in a special way.

Positioning and wearability of the unisex fragrance

Francine is positioned as a unisex fragrance, making it an ideal choice for modern men and women seeking flexibility and individuality.

Its low-sillage trail creates an intimate atmosphere, suitable for everyday wear, office meetings, or romantic evenings — it is not intrusive but memorable with subtle accents.

In the format of perfume water, Francine offers balanced longevity that gently unfolds on the skin.

Although specific dosage recommendations for skin and clothing are not specified, usually for such concentrations, 2-3 sprays are enough to enjoy the harmony of notes without overloading.

The fragrance belongs to the Amber, Floral, and Green families, which emphasizes its versatility and adaptability to different seasons, especially spring and summer.

If Francine has captivated your sense of smell, you might also like similar fragrances: Kenzo Couleur Jaune-Yellow for bright citrus accents, Henri Bendel Jasmine & Tuberose with floral tenderness, and Valeur Absolue Harmonie for balanced harmony — each offers a unique perspective on unisex perfumery.

Description of the composition

The note pyramid of Francine begins with a sparkling burst of citrus: bergamot, citrus accord, and lemon create a fresh and invigorating start that instantly uplifts the mood.

In the heart of the fragrance, a more complex bouquet unfolds: basil adds a spicy aromatic note, galbanum contributes green freshness, jasmine brings floral tenderness, and mastic tree resin envelops with warm balsamic nuances.

This composition, combining Citrus, Aromatic, Green, and Balsamic note groups, flows smoothly without a pronounced base, leaving a light aftertaste that perfectly complements the versatile character of the perfume.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

Bitter green fruits, fresh greens, and Earl Grey tea create an interesting bouquet. If you imagine brewing green tea with jasmine, adding classic Earl Grey, a little lemon, and mint, you'd get something similar. The fragrance is indeed interesting; at the beginning, there's a light cologne note 🍃

Galbanum is simply front and center here! If you appreciate this ingredient in fragrances, then this is a real find. It's green, with a herbaceous and tart undertone. So playful and rich, herbaceous, herbaceous. Although it's not entirely my style, I can't help but notice its beauty. Wonderful herbal notes 🌿

This fragrance is truly green! It evokes associations with a refreshing "Mojito" cocktail. You can feel mint, freshness, and a slight dampness in it. There's something tart and a little bitter, which makes it simply captivating and even a bit intoxicating. A real feast for the senses

The bottle definitely catches the eye. The first thing that comes to mind is an association with Nouvelle Etoile (Novaya Zarya) O'Zhen, but this fragrance is more long-lasting. Where's the mojito? It's green, with a slight bitterness and citrus notes. I don't smell mint, which is a shame, I would have liked to. The fragrance seems to melt on the skin, becoming softer, with a delicate, slightly creamy note appearing. Overall, it's a pleasant and light scent. It's just a pity I discovered it in autumn - in summer it would have played differently. The fragrance is versatile, suitable for everyone
