Who is Francesca Dell'Oro

Francesca Dell'Oro is an Italian perfumer and founder of the niche brand Francesca dell'Oro, whose fragrances have won the hearts of connoisseurs around the world. Her journey in the fragrance industry is a story of transforming a passion for beauty and design into the art of perfumery.

From fashion to the perfume Olympus

Born in picturesque Lecco in northern Italy, Francesca was immersed in the world of aesthetics from childhood. She studied public relations at the prestigious IULM University in Milan and then worked successfully in the fashion industry for many years. Owning her own clothing boutique not only honed her taste, but also led her to the idea of creating perfume accords that would be the perfect finishing touch to an outfit. Thus, she transformed from a clothing designer into a fragrance creator.

The birth of the brand and its first successes

In 2011, Francesca began working on her debut perfume line, and in 2012, the first six fragrances under her name were released. Among them were the delicate Lullaby, the mysterious Unsaid, and the radiant White Plumage. These compositions immediately attracted the attention of niche perfume connoisseurs with their unique character and quality.

Evolution and recognition at international exhibitions

In 2015, the perfumer carried out a bold rebranding, updating the design of the bottles and presenting new works at the international Esxence exhibition: the sensual Page 29, the hypnotic Envoutant, and the floral Fleurdenya. Participation in events such as Esxence and Moscow's InterCHARM, where she presented the sweet and spicy Rubia Sucree and the delicate Voile Confit, strengthened the brand's reputation as one of the most interesting players on the niche scene.

Collaboration with a legend: The Black Series

A special stage in dell'Oro's creative work was its collaboration with renowned perfumer Bertrand Duchaufour. In 2017, they presented The Black Series, a tribute to exquisite flowers. This collection includes the icy jasmine Ice Yasmill, the exotic tuberose Irupe, and the minty-pink Rosmenthe. These fragrances, marked by Duchaufour's signature style and Francesca's visionary approach, have become cult classics in her portfolio.

Popular and beloved fragrances by Francesca dell'Oro

Today, Francesca's perfume house boasts an extensive palette of scents, among which are true favorites of the community. In addition to those already mentioned, the oriental There's a Place, the playful S'il Vous Play, and the mysterious Need A Name enjoy unwavering popularity. Compositions such as Ambrosine and Francine, which marked the beginning of the brand's history, remain in the hearts of its first fans.

Signature style and heritage

Francesca dell'Oro's style is a blend of Italian sensuality and modern minimalism. She masterfully works with contrasts, combining transparent watercolor notes with dense, almost tangible accords. Her fragrances often tell stories — personal, emotional, sometimes with a touch of melancholy. Moving away from mass trends, she creates perfumes for thoughtful connoisseurs, which is what makes her brand so recognizable and respected in the world of niche perfumery.
