Fragrance information:

P. Frapin & Cie Parfums launched Terre de Sarment in 2007 — and it was a brilliant move. A unisex fragrance belonging to the fern, spicy, and wood families. David Frossard and Jeanne-Marie Faugier worked their magic — and the result speaks for itself. Offered in eau de parfum concentration.

The sillage is very delicate — an intimate cloud that stays close to the skin. Longevity is moderate — not too much, not too little, just right. Country of origin — France. A rich, layered composition that reveals itself differently depending on your mood and the time of day.

Description of the composition

The composition of Terre de Sarment evolves as a layered story, where layers reveal themselves without rush and without gaps. The signature of P. Frapin & Cie Parfums is recognizable from the opening to the final trail. No excess details, only what works, and the composition keeps a clear direction. Eau de parfum sets a balanced rhythm of unfolding.

Right at the start you detect piquant warm first notes: Caraway, Grape, Grapefruit and Neroli.

At the core of development you sense Amyris, Cinnamon, Nutmeg and Orange blossom holding a spicy-aromatic direction.

The internal accord map is shaped by these accords: Balsamic, Citrus, Gourmet and Floral without random overlap. Additional accords such as Fruit, Wood and Spicy expand the olfactory volume in the background. The gender direction is unisex, which clarifies the composition character. In wear duration Middle points to a sustained drydown presence.

At olfactory-group level the composition is built around Spicy, Fruit, Citrus and Floral. It also reaches into Wood, Whiteflower and Balsamic.

Overall Terre de Sarment holds a coherent structure — the opening sets direction, the central phase adds depth, while the drydown anchors the memory. These are the fragrances best understood through real development.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

This Frapin really creates a special atmosphere. It's perfect for autumn days when it's cold outside and you just want to cozy up with a glass of wine. Yeah, it might seem cliché, but there's a certain charm to it

I recently acquired this amazing creation. I have other Frapin fragrances in my collection, but this one just blew me away. The smell of the grape vine here is truly natural! Not fresh shoots, but those that have already matured and developed bark. You can really feel that woody bark. And there's also a refreshing aroma, as if you're standing next to a young white vine in a wooden barrel, when juice is being pressed from tart but very fragrant varieties. The smell is so astringent it makes your mouth pucker :) I can't pick out individual notes, only holistic scents familiar from childhood. For me, this fragrance is nostalgia, bright memories, and pleasant emotions. I adore it!

The fragrance is truly expensive, its sound is impressive. Alcoholic notes appear and disappear, creating an interesting play. I also get the image of a warm evening by the fireplace with a glass of wine in hand!! This feeling of coziness and relaxation is simply captivating

A warm masculine scent, you can feel alcohol, spicy notes, and the coziness of a fireplace in it. And all this on such an attractive bearded man. The fragrance sparks interest, but doesn't give a clear impression of itself
