Positioning and How to Wear

As a unisex fragrance, Menthe Fraiche is suitable for both men and women, especially for those who appreciate refreshing and invigorating notes.

Creators and Influence in the Perfume World

The creation of Menthe Fraiche involved two talented perfumers: David Maruitte and James Heeley.

Their collaboration led to the birth of a fragrance that reflects the minimalist aesthetic of the Heeley brand, making it a significant release in the world of niche perfumery.

This fragrance strengthens Heeley's reputation as a house that creates intellectual and accessible compositions, and continues to inspire lovers of fresh notes, belonging to the citrus and fougère fragrance families.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

How delightful it is to smell real garden mint! This scent is simply captivating, I can't get enough of it. Usually, I'm wary of mint in perfumes, as it often comes across too sharp, like in men's fragrances. But this version is simply magnificent! I only have a small bottle of this beauty, and that's a bit disappointing, because every time I worry it might run out

Not the simplest work from this lean British brand, by the way, it became one of the first compositions with a pronounced mint - in 2006, no one had yet heard of A*Men Kryptomint or You or Someone Like You. James Heeley's mint turned out to be for those who were looking for it in the wrong place - sharp, cold, like March water in a fast river, and just as transparent. It's a variation on the fougère theme, but without lavender and tonka beans, instead with green tea and a light white musk background 🌿

If you're choosing a fresh scent, this perfume is definitely worth checking out. There's something special about its simplicity. Citrus notes don't always appeal to me, but these herbal accents - that's what I like. The mint here is like a soft green blanket, first giving freshness, then cozy warmth 🍃

The smell of mint tea. It reminds me of how I once accidentally dropped chewing gum into black tea. Honestly, until I finished drinking it, I couldn't figure out where that strange taste came from. It's refreshing, of course, but I wouldn't say it's super. You can wear it in a stuffy room, but I don't know how others will tolerate it. Overall, not impressed

The scent is indeed minty, but not in a way that stings the nose. It's more like mint as a herb, with a slight sweet note. A hint of tea and bergamot is perceptible. Overall, the scent is unobtrusive and suitable for daytime wear. It's long-lasting, but in hot weather, it will be especially appropriate when other fragrances might be irritating. After six hours, a pleasant woody-coniferous base remains. An excellent choice for the office 🌿
