Fragrance information:

In 2011, Humiecki & Graef introduced Blask — a fragrance that's hard to forget. A unisex fragrance rooted in the wood, floral, and gourmet families. Its authors — perfumers Christoph Hornetz and Christophe Laudamiel. Concentration — eau de toilette: exactly what it needs to be.

It carries a moderate sillage, leaving a trail that lingers pleasantly in the air. The longevity of this fragrance is moderate — exactly what most occasions call for. Switzerland is where this fragrance comes from — and it shows. A rich, layered composition that reveals itself differently depending on your mood and the time of day.

Perfume information

Description of the composition

The note pyramid of Blask is shaped as a cohesive olfactory arc, where accents shift without rush and without gaps. The signature of Humiecki & Graef is recognizable from the opening to the final trail. No excess details, only what works, and the composition keeps a clear direction.

The accord architecture rests on these accords: Balsamic, Gourmet, Floral and Wood forming a compact and readable structure. Secondary accord layers such as Spicy and Alcoholic add depth to the backdrop. The stylistic positioning is unisex, which clarifies the composition character. In longevity terms Middle indicates a stable lasting impression.

When the pyramid is blended into one block the notes arrive together with a noble cedar mood: Floral Notes, Glazed Chestnut, Laurel, Oud, Red Wine, Resins and Walnut.

The middle and base stages are felt as a smooth transition from opening to trail, which preserves the scent identity through drydown.

At olfactory-group level the composition is built around Floral, Sweet, Spicy and Wood. It also reaches into Drinks, Balsamic, Fruit and Whiteflower.

Taken together Blask reads as a cohesive composition — the opening sets direction, the heart develops the core line, and the final phase leaves a stable imprint.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

The scent is truly unusual, one might say it's one of a kind. Strange, but there's something alluring and mysterious about it. It shocks, but doesn't repel. Not loud, but with character - calm yet tough. It has its own special essence that not everyone understands. It seems the fragrance chooses its wearer, and one must match it not only in status but also in inner state.

Initially, it opens with a bitter-sour accord of soaked apples and pine needles - powerful and sharp. But there's something hypnotic in this intensity that makes you listen closely. Then it transitions into the smell of an old oak barrel with noble wine, sometimes even damp. Later, a nutty-floral note appears - simple, but very fitting.

As the scent subsides, only the depth of wood remains, slightly complemented by resins. It creates an atmosphere that takes you far into the past, perhaps even to moments from a past life. This is not a typical fragrance; it doesn't fit into frameworks and standards. I am amazed and impressed

Poor Jabberwocky, he was lucky to be slathered with 'Zvezdochka' as a child 😔 I wouldn't mind such a fragrance either. The wine-chestnut notes are simply captivating, and the sweetness is so subtle and light, it's truly delightful. This perfumer is really creative, and I completely agree that he deserves recognition

At first, this scent reminds me of something from the Soviet past, even more like the Chinese balm "Zvezdochka". Then, after half an hour, something herbal is felt, like tinctures. And closer to an hour and a half, an interesting vermouth smell appears. But after an hour and a half, a truly beautiful fragrance unfolds - it's very green, original, and floral, with a gorgeous sillage! Pure delight

The scent is definitely strange and absolutely not for everyone. It presses with its power and energy, as if trying to suffocate you. Wine notes intoxicate, and nuts add a certain heaviness, like you're inhaling something old and musty. Laurel is clearly out of place here, and by the end, it starts to get candied, but that doesn't save it from its harshness and uncompromising nature. It definitely won't suit girls who like light and delicate scents, it's just too rough. At first, you hear leather accords, as if you're sniffing old wine from a leather bag 😒 For women who aren't afraid of harshness, maybe, but for men - it's simply a treasure
